*It Was Fun While it Lasted. Goodbye* In honor of beating Persona 5 I decided to draw Nichibotsune as the one and only Yusuke Kitagawa! After all, Nichi wouldn’t exist without him!

Nichibotsune just being very excited about being a big brother! Nichi was and always will be a curious little thing, especially with his daddy’s tummy (and the baby it apparently houses)!

💕The Sun, The Moon, and Everything in Between 💕

I have personally been needing some Munechika family fluff, and for me, it fills a bit of the void. And hopefully, it does for you too! For those interested, this would be taking place during The Fear of a Child’s Cry.

“He’s brilliant, Kogi... Just brilliant.”

It’s about TIME I did some Munechika family drawings. After all, they are what started this whole thing. This might actually be the first time I’ve done a “serious” drawing of Kogi and Mika together. Strange, huh? So, for those who have read The Fox and the Moon, this scene is directly taken from Chapter 13, Waiting for You. If you haven’t read it and would like a taste? Read below the cut! 

“All Mikazuki saw was Yagen hold something pink and flush before him just beyond the blanket so he could see. It was squealing with a gaping mouth and squirming with its eyes closed, holding its fists tight. Then Yagen reached over the fabric barricade and placed it delicately on his bare chest.

Mikazuki looked down at the little thing that curled into his softened skin as it continued to cry. Without even thinking, he took his shaky hand and caressed the little, innocent thing slowly, touching its downy blue hair.

This… this was their baby. Those tiny feet: that was what kept kicking him. Its little breathing, and those hiccups that made his stomach house butterflies. This was what was there this whole time. For thirty-six weeks this is who he was caring for.

‘Kogi…’ He took a full and deep breath. ‘It’s a boy, Kogi.’

Mikazuki knew he was having a baby, but… For some reason he did not expect it to be so precious . So real . He knew one day he was going to hold his baby, but now that it was actually happening he could not believe it, and he knew Kogitsunemaru felt the same.

‘You did it, Mikazuki,’ Kogitsunemaru said with a warm tremor in his voice. ‘By the Gods you did it.’ He felt the fox’s lips press the top of his head, followed by a barely audible whisper of love.”

The Circle of Life                                                                              (starring Tsurumaru Kuninaga and Nichibotsune Munechika)

Uncle Tsuru will always be the best uncle. I like to imagine that Nichibotsune’s introduction to the citadel went something like this, just a complete rip off of The Lion King. Or at least, that’s how Tsuru would treat it. Mikazuki enjoys the show. But Kogi? Not so much.

Kogi will forever be the nervous Papa.

Who’s a Handsome Boy? 

It’s about time for another collab! So! A little story behind this one... my steady follower (and obviously one of my collaborators) made mention of a great idea: Don’t you think Nichibotsune’s curiosity would bring him to his uncle Ishikirimaru, asking him about the eye-shadow he wears in battle? Well, of course he would! And then of course Nichibotsune would add the look into his own battle regalia. So long story short, [immortal-artist] / [NuttyCheyChey] said they would take a drawing I did of Nichibotsune, and they would color him and give him some beautiful eye shadow! And my I say, splendid job! (As you know, you have my forever thanks! he’s BEAUTIFUL!!!)

Mikazuki and Son

“He’s brilliant, isn’t he?”

What a better way to start than with a sketch of Mikazuki and the citadel’s prodigal son, Nichibotsune? Unsurprisingly, Mikazuki is a very proud parent and is very happy to share his son with the world.
