It has been such a crazy beginning to my school year, and I just haven't been able to catch my breath lately!! But with a day off today I think that a little update to the world would suffice. I would like to happily announce that I am this year's Executive Sous Chef for the French Dinner at The Chef John Folse Culinary Institute at Nicholls State University! I am so pumped, and I truly feel as if all my hard work is paying off. I would like to give a shout out to the Executive Chef, Logan Boudreaux and the Sous Chef, Crystal Lachney for getting chosen for leadership as well! This is a powerhouse team, and I cannot wait to get this ball rolling for this dinner. Thank you to the Faculty and Staff at CJFCI, for believing in me and for giving me this amazing opportunity to test my skills and knowledge. Well everyone, time for another big announcement! I have been so blessed in my life with some amazing opportunities. My culinary career has blossomed with once in a lifetime experiences. I am extremely excited to announce that I am taking on my Senior Externship at the Southern Hills Country Club in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I can't believe this is really happening. All my hard work is truly paying off, and I couldn't have done it without the help and love from my family, friends, instructors, and my fellow student body at The Chef John Folse Culinary Institute. I am soaring high with confidence and excitement, and I cannot wait for this summer adventure. Feeling very accomplished right now in my college career. Tonight was the French Dinner and it was great. I was the Student Sommelier for tonight's dinner, and I am so blessed to have been presented so many opportunities through the Chef John Folse Culinary Institute. It can only go up from here.
