The Duchess of Cambridge’s Mental Health Work → 21st October 2015
At a private engagement the Duchess of Cambridge met with Nick Barton- who had recently given up his position as CEO of Action on Addiction- and Graham Beech, who was taking the position on. Nick had attended many engagements by Kate’s side as Action on Addiction was one of her first patronages and after leaving his position he would go on to become a freelance consultant to politicians and charities. Graham Beech had a long history of working in the public and charity sector, focusing on the justice system and addiction issues. He remains the CEO of the organisation to this day and regularly accompanies the Duchess when she visits the patronage. She was no doubt sad to see Nick go as he had been very complimentary of her before, stating that “you can tell a lot from people’s questions and she asks really good questions. They’re not routine stuff, they’re questions of someone who wants to learn.”
