“I’m not nervous...I just haven’t had my coffee yet.” Nick lied, hoping that the excuse would satisfy his boyfriend. In actuality, he was nervous; he always was  on the first day of classes, even as a professor. Every class was different, every student a potential new face, and as much as he didn’t like admitting it to himself, the thought did put him on edge a little. At least once he actually got into the classroom and got started he’d be fine.

When Nick had heard about the rave, he was intrigued; he’d gone to raves before, but he didn’t think he’d ever been to one catering mostly to vampires. As a result, he decided to check it out. And since it was the weekend, he didn’t have to worry about any classes the next day. Upon walking in, he decided to get a drink. Going over to the bar, he sat down and looked over the menu. However, as he looked up to order, someone a few stools over caught his attention. Nick recognized the other; he was a fellow professor that he’d mostly seen in passing. Quickly he ordered and decided to go change his seat. “Hey!” He greeted with a grin. “Do you mind if I join you?”

Nick nodded as he listened to the other’s words. He could definitely relate, since he’d gotten into dangerous situations as a soldier. And although he’d tried to avoid it afterwards, due to his vampirism, danger sometimes came his way. “That makes two of us.” He said with a chuckle. “Why are you friends with danger?”

“I wouldn’t say friends aren’t allowed to, since there’s no rule against it.” Nick said before taking a sip of his coffee. “But usually they don’t, because it could ruin a friendship.” Thankfully he was lucky enough to be on good terms with the exes he had. But he’d seen enough movies to know that it didn’t always turn out that way. “However, if you’re willing to take a risk, it could turn the friendship into something more. It all depends.” He said with a shrug.

Nick just rolled his eyes.  The kiss cam.  For cute couples, how fun it must be to be able to suck face on the big screen, but considering he was at the game with a group of his guy friends, he wasn’t really interested.  That is until he was on the damn screen.  He hadn’t paid much attention to the random chick sitting next to him, sure he noticed she was hot, but really he wasn’t here to pick up chicks so he just kinda ignored her.  But now that wasn’t possible.  “Uh...” he mumbled, bringing one hand up to her cheek as if getting ready to kiss her, really not wanting to do it unless she wanted him too, especially not in front of all these people.  His buddies were cheering him on and he gave her a little nod hoping that she would at least play along as he leaned in to kiss her, much to the applause of the crowd around them.  Honestly she was a great kisser, whether or not her heart was all the way in it or not.  Eventually people got tired of them and the camera moved to someone else and he lingered only for a second before pulling away, “Sorry bout that.  Hope I didn’t intrude.” he tried to joke, hoping to alleviate what could potentially be a very awkward situation.
