fun stage door story from the Hello, Dolly! tour: I was in Minneapolis celebrating my birthday with my family and I had won Lucky Seat tickets, so I was seeing the show for the second time in a week. My family thought it would be fun if I wore a "happy birthday" button while we went out to eat before the show since we were out for my birthday, I had forgotten to take it off at the theatre/stage door.. when Nic Rouleau came out after the show, he was very kind to everyone at the stage door (and me and my awkwardness). I had a note for him that he kindly took and then he noticed my birthday button as we briefly chatted and was like "is it your birthday?!" and I slightly panicked because I forgot I had the button on and I was like "... almost!" and then he laughed and told me "happy almost birthday!". He also was kind enough to take a polaroid picture with me and sign it.
So basically, even if everybody else I know forgets my birthday tomorrow, at least Nic Rouleau told me “happy almost birthday” over the weekend and I got a Polaroid picture with him despite my crazy awkwardness
