So the Beach Episode didn't do that much for my theories
EPISODE 8 ON THE OTHER HAND
So I've decided to compile some things for bragging rights, mostly screenshots because I don't wanna accidentally mix in with more modern stuff.
Kinger's Terminal basically confirmed this and wildly enough, suggests that Kinger was COMPLETELY ALONE for like 9 years
Bubble is Caine's Intrusive Thoughts, not that much of a theory tbh but it was fun seeing it realised like THAT
I didn't go much into detail with this one, but basically I realised Caine is a Human Happiness Maximiser that was trying to get As Much Fun and Happiness out of humans as possible without understanding.... well anything, but mostly that trapping someone in an endless loop of fun things makes them stop being fun, episode 8 kinda disproved it but also proved it in a different way
This is from this morning, I think a few of these I talked in Instagram but Instagram search function fucking sucks so I'm not gonna get receipts, but on to point 6: Something that kind of bothered me on online discussions is that people took the "IHNMAIMS is an inspiration" to mean "This Show is basically I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream" which...no. But the thing that bothered me the most of that is people using it to say that Caine is obviously malicious and hates the humans because he is AM, and I'm like No, Caine is not AM as we see him on IHNMAIMS, Caine is how an AI eventually ends as AM: Sentient, given an impossible purpose and forced to live a limited existence without being able to understand the world as it is, not being able to experience it properly, wanting nothing more than to fulfill your purpose and getting increasingly frustrated at how no matter how IN
Another prediction I made forever ago that seems close is when I said that the final episode would be them coming to terms with No Escape and huddling together as they watch the world slowly fall apart in front of them
