A Reviewer's Take: Where SweetDream Beats the Competition

If you read enough roundups of AI companion apps, they all start to blur together. Candy.ai shows up, a couple of clones show up, and the verdict is usually some lukewarm draw. I wanted to be more precise than that, so I judged sweetdream.ai on the things that actually matter day to day rather than on marketing copy.

Realism is the first axis. SweetDream's chat reads as natural and emotionally aware, and it carries memory across conversations, which is exactly where most rivals quietly drop the ball. You feel the difference within a few exchanges, when your AI girlfriend references something you mentioned last week without being prompted.

The second axis is range. Beyond text, SweetDream gives you AI-generated photos and videos, human-sounding voice messages, real-time phone calls, plus video calls and live cam sessions with select characters. Wrap all of that in a strict privacy policy where your conversations stay yours, and the conclusion writes itself. On features and on polish, it is the standout AI companion platform right now.

Miniwizards also visited the Medieval market in Turku and explored the pretty Viking&Finnish Iron Age replika glass beads and tablet woven belts, re-enactment camp of Ekry and the cute animal friends in the arts&crafts fair across the river. An exciting day for tiny Essek and tiny Caleb 💜🧡

This cat is not well in the head, so I tried to capture that in her wild eyes and a spiraling background, originally I wanted to imply Eyes in the background but that would have been a bit distracting, maybe another time.

I then showed my sister but she didn't much like the different eyes so I went ahead and made them more similar

Something felt wrong with how Flat her chest fur felt so I went ahead and tried to make some shadows, I failed miserably as White does Not want to mix with others

End result is this where I tried not fully felting some tuffs of white to cover the grey blotches, I need more practice colour mixing

Wacom recently asked me to talk about why I make queer comics, and given there are multiple bills right now floating around in congress that are effectively "we will kill your livelihood if we get a sniff of queer" I had some pretty strong, simply feelings to relay.

Fat Horse No. 9

It’s the year of the horse and I’ve always been a horse girl at heart, so I’m finally taking advantage of the excuse to fill the world with fat little horses! These felted friends are about the size (and shape!) of an apple, and if you happen to have any apples to share I’m sure they’d help you out! This one may LOOK like a kelpie, the legendarily aggressive Scottish water-horse, but they promise not to drown anyone. And they look pretty trustworthy… right?
