Nigel Allan, From Strength To Strength
Nigel Allan is a British businessman and entrepreneur currently based in Thailand, who over the last few years has become well known I the business world for his entrepreneurial skill and nack for taking mediocre businesses and making them flourish. Following a degree at Leeds university, he started off as a junior and then senior copywriter for various international advertising agencies. From there, his career really started to take off. He has made a name, among other things, for being an inspirational and motivating public speaker. Highlights of his career have included being invited to speak as a guest lecturer on international marketing to university undergraduates at Vasterbottens University, Umea, Sweden back in 1996, following his co-authoring of a paper with Dr Elena Bocchietto, research chemist from Milan, Italy in that same year entitled “The case for biotechnology in cosmetics”. The paper was subsequently published in the leading global cosmetics industry journal, and as a result he was then invited to speak at a symposium on the use of biotechnology in cosmetics at the Fondazione per le Biotecnologie, Torino, Italy, whose President is Professor Lorenzo Silengo, also Director of the Molecular Biotechnology Centre of the University of Torino.
He has in recent year developed a reputation in developing cutting edge skin care concepts and products, and in 2008 he received an endorsement from Leslie Kenton, a legend in her field. The then led Hollywood A List film star, Demi Moore to fly in to meet him in Paris with both her personal aesthetician and make-up artist, with the intention of consulting him and meeting a manufacturer he was collaborating with on the development of her proposed new skin care product line.
Prior to this, in 2003, renowned Harpers and Queen Health and Beauty editor and author of over 30 books on health and wellness, and originator of the Origins line for Estee Lauder, Leslie Kenton wrote in her groundbreaking book, SKIN REVOLUTION, “When it comes to cosmetics, Nigel Allan knows more about chirality than anyone in the English-speaking world…” Leslie Kenton, Skin Revolution.
Fluent in four languages including Latin and Greek, it is clear that Allan knows what he is doing and has a clear vision for the future. His core focus at the moment is on the skincare business, however he appears to be by no means limited to only this field.
