Tashaki Miyaki are a boy/girl duo from Los Angeles.
The band's anonymity leaves you wondering who is "Tashaki" and who is "Miyaki", but entranced while listening to their dreamy, hazy indie pop that sounds like Best Coast meets Beach House, with a hint of shoegaze.
The mystery behind the band can be a bit frustrating, with little written about who the band is. But their fuzzy pop music is so hauntingly beautiful that it leaves you almost in a daze.

My copy of Life Control by Night Control arrived from Kill Shaman yesterday, and I'm enjoying it a great deal. Very much a companion to last year's Death Control, so expect more fuzzy, ephemeral Americana and guitar-bleeding ambience. Check out Track Evaluation, then maybe see if you want to part with a bit of currency for the whole lot.
