Banger after banger, so much energy, So Much queer joy.

I went to the Sub-Radio concert in Denver last night and it was amazing. (Recap: these are the Stacy's Dad guys, they're a more-than-parodies indie pop band, their music will make you happy.) Their tour just started and you should absolutely go see them if you can.

Mid-way through the show, lead singer Adam Bradley talked about his queerness and the hate and danger queer folks in America are experiencing right now, and all the joy and strength that we won't let them take from us. This is not a new message for Sub-Radio so like half the room went wild when he asked if there were any other queers in the room. And then he announced the start of "the gay part of the show" and launched into King of My Heart:

Take a listen. Feel the love for trans folks and everyone who moved out of their hometown, made some better friends, built their own house where they didn't have to pretend.

And I cried. I danced and cried. I wished I could stay in that space and that moment. It was fucking magical.

It’s been a week since The Blacksmith ended, and I have felt like posting something to fill the void… so this is for you @denzit - a teaser for one of my upcoming pieces for Haladriel Week:

Sauron stopped, no more than three feet in front of her, the image of a creature ripped from the depths of despair. His complexion was pallid, his slitted eyes ever piercing, ever watchful, seeing all. The coverings he wore were so black that the torchlight on the walls did not reflect upon them. Galadriel could not even tell what material they were made from, only that his long black cloak swayed as he stood still, despite there being no breeze in the room. He was grinning, unhinged, demented. “You believe it is your light I still crave?” Sauron laughed again, the sound coated in evil. “No, Galadriel… I have moved beyond such petty concepts. There is only power… and my ability to wield it. To rule.” Something about him rejecting her light sliced her heart, widening the wound he had already made. Galadriel could not deny there was a part of her that liked being desired by the dark lord in this way. It made her feel powerful. And now she felt that power being stripped away as each second passed. She no longer felt like herself, the commander, an ages old elf. Now she was a pathetic diminutive thing, facing off against a maia. The elf trembled.

I just wanted to personally message and tell you how much I'm enjoying your story "Clean Slate". I've been a fan of Sonic and Shadow for a long time, but recently, I noticed many fans pairing them up as a couple. It's never really crossed my mind, but many artists depict their relationship as very wholesome, and it's lovely. Your story is one of them. You write them in a very relatable, realistic (while maintaining their personalities), and beautiful (almost aching) way.

I haven't done fan art (or any art) for a while, but I've been drawing out some of my favorite scenes from your story and would love to share them with you once they're finished. I hope that you'd like it (-^w^-)

I read this roughly a dozen times before I could even type up a response I'm so happy. Thank you so much. This just means the absolute world to me 💓.
