before i go, my favourite LGBT shows of the year by miles and miles are Clean Slate and What It Feels Like For A Girl. Clean Slate is a sitcom co-written by and starring Laverne Cox as a trans woman who loses her job and has to move back in with her dad in her small hometown in Alabama for the first time since before she came out, so she essentially has to reintroduce herself to her hometown, and it's soooo sweet and funny, and the romance is soooo juicy. What It Feels Like For A Girl is a coming-of-age story about a trans girl from Nottingham in the '00s who starts exploring her gender after befriending other trans women while out clubbing and committing petty crimes - based on the memoir of Paris Lees. it is the best-written show of the year. if you were a teen/young adult in the 00s, it will hit you like a truck. idk why it's not being talked about as one of the top 5 shows of 2025, but transmisogyny makes ppl crazy. anyways, go watch them. look up any relevant content warnings before doing so, but you're in for a treat <3
