Mortal and Not | Ignis & Eve

He waits.

He is not one for waiting but for her, he waits. Impatience disappears when she is in his thoughts. Whether this is a positive or negative action remains to be seen. There have been no negative consequences for talking with her so far for him despite his... strange feelings about her.

He has to tug at the collar. He does not like the constriction of these human clothes. Neither does he like the fact that he has left Romulus and Remus in his apartment. He can teleport back to them in an instant and yet he does not wish to leave Eve behind, or leave her waiting.

He gazes up at the evening sky. Mortals filter into the auditorium while he waits, sitting on one of stone layered slabs. He does not understand why they all (including him) wear a mask. He identifies mortals he knows as they pass. A mask does not prevent him from knowing their souls.

With patience, he waits for her.

Ignis is at a loss of words to speak.

Eve. That is her name. He had been standing there, watching the human festival that he did not truly understand. Why spend money on each other for each other’s time without consent of the one giving up their time as to who they are required to spend time with? Mortals, who demand equality yet have competitions. He had stood amongst the crowd, far taller than anyone else, his head bare to the wind and red braid tossed over his shoulder. No sunglasses. 

When he saw her, his heart had stopped. The woman from the marketplace, here again. Like it is fate, weaving this safety net between them. He is grounded when he looks at her. Red is his favourite colour. If he never had a favourite colour before this, he chooses to ignore that fact.

When he saw her, he participated without thinking. He could not let her go, not like when he had first saw her and she had... left him so bereft without her presence. Why? He does not understand. He never understands this feeling when he thinks of her. It is almost like mortality in his lack of understanding. Ignis is being irrational and he does not know what to do.

The auction is finished now. The sky rumbles above, clouded with thunder on the horizon. He is on the earthy ground, dirt in his fingernails where one of his hands had clenched into the grass. His legs are stretched out, Romulus and Remus upon them. His fingers shake as they stroke Remus’ fur. His mouth is dry. She approaches. Eve... what an astoundingly beautiful name.

He gazes at her, still speechless.

Rose Among Woe || Mikoto & Eve

Mikoto had always been a sucker for flowers. There was just something about them that calmed the warrior. And not just a handful of flowers, every flower Mikoto could think of, they loved. Which led to the often detours through the parks to view the flower beds. Mikoto leaned over to sniff a particularly bright rose when a flash of blonde in the corner of their eye caught their attention. The warrior turned quickly to look, watchful for any suspicious activity. But what they found was brilliant. A gorgeous woman stood amongst the flowers, eyes soft as they gazed over the plantlife. Mikoto had to, they just had to. They had held back far too many compliments before. Mikoto approached the woman, trying hard to appear non-threatening in their armor, keeping a hand off of their sword. "Ma'am I apologize for disurbing you in anyway but I couldn't help but notice how gorgeous you are, and I only wished to let you know that." The officer apoke with a smile.

Texting between Friends - Eve and Claire

{Text}: Hey Claire!! How have you been? I was watering some flowers and thought of you!

{Text}: I’d love to meet up with you again! It’s been so long since we have had a get together, our lives have definitely been super busy i’m assuming.

{Text}: Miss you lots! let me know!~ ♪

Claire looked down at her phone in surprise, she hadn’t been talking much to anyone these days, just putting her head down and working. She knew sooner or later people would notice, and heck, she had said she was going to have a house warming party if she ever finished moving. Still, when she looked at her phone, she felt a warm smile cross her face and she sat down on one of the two only chairs she had in her house so far.

[Txt] Hey Evie! Sorry for being out of touch, I’m in the process of moving back into my family’s place. Pretty tiring, but I’m working through it. ;) How are things with you? 

[Txt] Well, I’m intending to have a house warming if I ever get everything done, but if you want to come by sometime for some lemonade or something, I’d be happy to have ya. 

[Txt] I miss you too. Thanks for the message, I actually really needed that pick me up. :)

Reunited || Joe & Eve

  Joe was so pumped for Opening Day. He wore his favorite swimming trunks, blue with a fish pattern, and of course his favorite bandana. Kurt had already left before him and Joe had forgot to ask him if he wanted to be partners for the water gun fight, so he didn’t have a partner yet. Whatever, he was going to have fun!

 Walking around the beach, looking for something fun to do he spotted...no it couldn’t be. Eve? Was it really her? He quickly ran up to her, shouting.

  “Eve! Eve, is that you?!” He shouted waving his arms back and forth.
