Interrupted Naps
Open
Lavender braids framed her face as she rested on a soft patch of grass in a nearby park. As usual, she was asleep under the shade of a tree, not the least bit worried about her surroundings. It was the perfect weather to nap outside and the time was perfect, too. Most people were still working, which meant that there as little chance for interruptions.
Or so she thought.
The sound of leaves crackling under footsteps broke the sleeping beauty out of her light slumber and she opened her eyes to see someone walking in her direction. Not necessarily towards her, but close enough that she decided to sit up and try to be alert - still occasionally nodding off.Â
The weather had been so nice that fall afternoon that Ayame had opted to take her lunch break outside. The days were getting colder and she figured it best to soak up as much vitamin D as she could before the winter really hit the islands.Â
As she headed for a picnic bench in the park, Ayame noticed a figure on the ground and she blinked in obvious curiosity as she made a small detour toward the person. She was sure they were just resting, but the doctor in her couldnât help but feel a tad bit concerned. If the person was indeed in need of assistance and she didnât help, she would never forgive herself.Â
Just as she was about to reach her, the girl sat up and Ayame gave a soft sigh of relief until she noticed the slump of the girlâs head and shoulders. It was like she had passed out or something, and Ayame decided she best check on her, just in case.
âGood afternoon.â she replied, putting on a cheery face as she finally reached the sleepy girl. âI apologize for being nosy, but .... Are you all right?âÂ
