Hii it's the anon who asked what your favourite ROTG scene is and i was Wondering

What is your favourite ship? Because ik as all fandoms have,ships will exist everywhere

Thank you for asking! We've been a part of this fandom for quite a while, but were very shy to draw people actually making out. Because of that, our first Guardians ship — Black Ice — we enjoyed mostly as fic readers.

With books, we switched to Nightlight x Katherine, Toothiana x North, and a rarity not many will indulge in Lord and Lady Pitchiner.

We still have a tender place in our hearts for Black Ice, so we live by "ship and let ship" 💖

After months/years of trying to stay apart, Katherine sends Nightlight a welcoming message. He's on his way to her right away

HC: MiM bad. Lunanoffs bad. Kinda long post. Nightlight/Katherine centric

We disliked MiM ever since we've seen him in RotG, and after reading the books our dislike of him only deepened. The reasons for that deserve a separate post, but today we'll focus on Nightlight.

Even though Nightlight thinks he and MiM are friends, they clearly couldn't have been. His existence had been kept a secret, so the only people he knew were Lunanoffs, sleeping toddler MiM, and Pitch. But then a little girl flew up the clouds and drew his attention, and Nightlight was never the same. The way their relationship deepened and blossomed, we only expected that the natural conflict of loyalties will arise. That it would look even worse after previous biggest Golden Age hero fell to despair because of having second loyalty. Or simply because lonely MiM might be jealous to share his only "friend" with anyone.

The books hinted that Nightlight was developing a personality thanks to his relationship with Katherine. In our version, it also makes him grow and makes his light dimmer. Since no one Nightlight ever did anything like that, Katherine gets scared and distances herself from him. Both suffer.

Jack gets into this mess from Katherine's side just because he's a disruptor by nature, honestly, and doesn't like any kind of forcing people into loneliness. And from Nightlight's side, Moonbeams do their best to distract him from heavy thoughts. Pretty much like that.

Early in the books, Moonbeams are known to "get Night out of his shell" and push him to wherever MiM needed him to go. So here, too, they did their best to distract him from undesirable thoughts. Except this time, they fail. Only getting happy now makes him brighter.

Are there any other pairings in the taleswap AU besides from Dreamfloss (and Katherine/Nightlight, I suppose)?

Of course they are, but some of them aren't exactly... pairings, but more like crushes or past relationships, however due to the plot, the one who get more spolight are dreamfloss and nighkat
