The look Jiminy gives him is almost sympathetic. Now, he wouldn't rightly know, but there's something telling in the fact that the Lady seems to find some measure of good old fashioned fun in coming on down to the village to check in on him and Pinocchio, who by all accounts live relatively boring lives these days ( he's not complaining about that, mind you, the boy at least has earned it ).

It just gives the impression that they don't really do things like book clubs or jigsaw puzzles, up here. And what would a fairy find fun, anyhow? What would somebody like Bill find fun?

"Oh, I don't know. I never much got the impression that a place like this would buy into that sorta thing. Gee, you must be bored outta your gourd if you're stoopin' to ask me."

Jiminy does not, in fact, know how it works - a fact that is evident in his uncertain tone as he continues - but this whole thing doesn't sound right. The Blue Fairy is surely out on sick leave or unannounced PTO or something to that effect: it doesn't mean Jiminy's getting transferred.

Especially not to this thing. He's not even blonde, for crying out loud.

"I ain't deputized to you," and contrary to popular belief he doesn't accept badges from just anybody. Mostly anybody, but still. "The only one who can put me under new management is the Lady, and you ain't the Lady."

i stare stone - faced at bill with an unamused expression. i do not even know why i am entertaining this interaction ... but here i was. my arms cross over my chest, letting out a sigh. "i don't care how fun you think it is. it's a fire hazard, knock it off." at one time i was amazed by his abilities, but now ... it just frustrates and annoys me. "what do you want? or did you just come here to set shit on fire."

" GAH! " dipper yelps when he hears bill's voice behind him, whirling around to look at him face-to-face. he wasn't intending to fall asleep - when did he fall asleep? he remembers working on writing a new entry in the journal..

he didn't think he'd fall asleep doing that, but he's never been too sure on how exactly bill worked.

" bill! " he grits out, annoyed in being interrupted. he pulls the journal close to his chest, wrapping his arms around it protectively. " what are you even doing here, man?! no one even wants you here! i definitely don't! "

OH GOD! His pants catch fire, and hitting it with a pillow doesn't really seem to help, so he has to awkwardly kick them off and dig his heel into the flame.

Did he learn his lesson? Absolutely not. The taunting will continue.
