Isn't that kind of just how sandbox games stories are though regarding Fallout 4? Loose hook to drive you in and then the actual "story" is exploring the lore of the universe and finding out what have happened in the world while having a fun time trying to adjust to your new reality? I didn't really have a issue with it so far myself at least other than being forced to have some asshole husband following me around for the first 10 minutes or so of the game

LOL. Yeah that’s how sandbox games usually are but I’ve seen it done better. I think New Vegas did it best between that, 3, and 4. I actually feel like 4′s story was much too urgent to realistically expect the character to spend time exploring. But I’m also pretty critical about story in games in general. I have high expectations.

Considering Meryl Streep apparently played Margaret Thatcher in that The Iron Lady movie, which I have heard basically brushes over all the bad stuff Maggie did and tries to glorify her as some sort of "nice old lady who just want to make it big in a mans world", it somehow doesn't surprise me that she turned out to be a massive racist

Regarding that "Episode VII is objectively bad" post; Saying something is objectively bad is such a false argument anyways. Every type of art is completely subjective if it's good or not, based on if the consumer of said art likes it or not. So even an "objectively bad" movie like for example Birdemic or Troll 2 can still be good to people who find the homemade feel of them to be a positive (along with us who find them "so bad it's good")

Right, and like, there are artists who deliberately try to make their art “bad” or use low-quality materials intentionally either to make a point or just the fuck because. There’s some metal band who deliberately sought out the worst sound equipment possible so that their music would come out super distorted and fucked up sounding, and that music is still art and a lot of people loved it.

I don’t trust anyone who throws around the word “objective” like that but especially in regards to art and media. You can’t just throw around words like that as though it automatically creates the truth you want, like planting a flag. And if you think you can, you got problems.

So, from the other day, the increase in carving out content for DLC and preorder culture for games isn't just some "gamer bro problem" though, it affects everyone who wants to buy a game but want to get a worthwhile experience in the process. Hell, the gamer bros with money to spare on a lot of luxuries are the ones having it the easiest in it, us poorer folk on welfare and such are the most affected if we want to actually get a worthwhile product for our investment.

Yeah, you’re right, that is fucked up. I do think the whole DLC thing is total corporate greed and terrible. Someone said that you basically have to buy DLC to get the real ending to DA: Inquisition, and that is totally fucked. The metaphor was bad but I understand that the making of DLC that completes the game is super shitty.

I am surprised Roger Ebert called out that Adam Sandler movie on its racism actually, the same site gave a positive review to The Green Inferno, aka. Eli Roth's racist as fuck cannibal film only made to "piss of SJWs". I guess Ebert hired reviewers from very different political leanings in his time or something
