NightmareScape launches July 20

NightmareScape will launch for Switch on July 20, publisher Astrolabe Games and developer Magic Fish Studio announced.

In Nightmare first launched for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 on March 29, 2022, followed by PC via Steam on November 29, 2022.

So long story short, there's these guys in my nightmares who are all friendly lads y'see, named Death, Time, and War. Even longer story short, sometimes when you dream, you're not you as the POV. I have recurring POVs, and one of them is War.

They're all "powerful"

Powerless to the natural horrors of the dream, but still capable of feats that seem to shock any onlookers. They all seem bummed about their concurrent circumstances, dream-me too. Like gods almost, but wounded ones at that.

They feel hunger, can bleed, even "die".

(They seem to always come back after death, but its not a pleasant experience, causes a lot of issues. I've never seen Death die though, so maybe he's different.)

The Switch version of NightmareScape releases today digitally. It is also available for the PS4/PS5 and Steam as In Nightmare.

I'm thinking of the characters my nightmares themselves have created. How I miss some of them.

A world of dreams with canon rules, peoples, and places.

A world of only nightmares where the monotony is broken with comfort, warmth, and triumph.

Dream-me and I are not the same. But I feel her feelings as real as she feels mine.

Should I start posting about my nightmares?

I have a severe case of nightmare disorder and I have had it for as long as I can remember. Because of this I remember 98% of dreams, all of which are unhinged.

Because of this I also remember my dreams so well that there are consistent locations, characters, and concepts due to my brain actually remembering shite about my dreams.

Yes living with the nightmare disorder is hell. Yes they are still very unpleasant no matter how epic a dream may be. And yes I am going to make the best out of my nightmarescape and the inescapable eldritch horror it blessed me with.
