I saw on Disboard that you are super strict on cultural appropriation, but you have pirated books? what about the author's hard work?

We have a principle duty to educate and to gather knowledge from those who give it freely and with little want to hide or keep such knowledge from the populace. Books are written to be read, essentially. However, cultures that are closed or require certain rites or education to understand properly and wholly are not like books. They exist for themselves and deign to offer up information at will. To appropriate a culture is to steal from it that which is never meant to be taken out of the culture. If the knowledge in a book was not meant to be disseminated it would not have been written.

We are an educational server which means we have certain freedoms when it comes with sharing content. Our Google Drive/Library is only open to our server members and not to the general public. This is due to Fair Use laws in the United States, which allows books or sections of books to be freely shared for educational purposes only on a limited scale.
