So yesterday I was thinking that it's spring now. And today I woke up to a thick layer of snow that had fallen over night. I laughed when I saw it because it felt a bit like spring was saying "April's fools y'all!". And I felt even happier and proud of myself when I made it out of my driveway in the morning with my 2-wheel-drive car up the hill through around 15cm of snow, without getting stuck! 😁 Now I am enjoying the weekend and trying to make the most of the last really dark nights that we get. Now darkness is something that gets just as valuable as light was in winter. The nights get so short now and soon there will be a slight shimmer of light at the horizon at all times until the nights won't be dark anymore at all in June. Starry nights make up for the short days. Sadly they aren't visible so often as this winter has been incredibly cloudy and grey. Today it was raining cats and dogs almost all day and now it has started to snow as the temperatures dropped to 0°C. Today I spent the day preparing for tomorrow, when I will have my first day at the new job as a teacher in primary school. I am really excited for the job and the challenges and learning experience that will come with it!
