It’s for me one of the most re-watchable animes ever. Heck, even shows in general. And the more you watch it the more you realize how openly in love they are with each other from the very beginning. >__<

Yes, once you've seen it more than once you pay attention to the details, especially the body language. And the best of all is that this is a healthy relationship, it's so uncommon to see healthy relationships in LGTBI+ anime (and also in heterosexual... come to think of it, but less so). I hope they continue the story in a second season, given that the movie is likely to be about Victor before he went to Japan.

So very true, and it's so sad. I didn't watch it because of my fear of queer baiting. I watched a review of the entire series before the show. I was that scared.

I originally decided to watch YOI after seeing some gifs on Tumblr that made me go: wait, the show is THAT GAY? but that was before ep 7 I believe.  I managed not to spoil myself after that until I finally got around to watching it after the full season.  I was expecting a lot of fanservice, and a cute show, I was NOT expecting to fall in love.

Yeah, I'm going to be staying with a couple of my Hardcore Feminist Queer Theory friends when I go to Afest next month and I'm kinda looking forward to explaining this whole thing to them.  But seriously I think a lot of the reason I avoid watching new shows for at least the first season is to sniff out bullshit like this.

3. Why I love my bestfriend

Well, I have 2 or 3 best friends, but the first one that came to mind is my foreign best friend/crush. I love them because they're very kind, and nice, and they're sensitive and are considerate of peoples feelings. I really care about them because they're the type of person that is super happy and smiling all the time, but they're actually really depressed and lonely, and they remind me of myself so much it's like we should be related. Except they're all the positives I don't have hahaha. They're like hella attractive, and they have beautiful eyes and they're just really attractive ahaha. They're SUPER funny, and their humor is really compatible with mine, so sometimes we have pun battles that last hours lmao. I think I should stop now, or I got go on for paragraphs...
