Here we have a second fake magazine cover done by @sinizade, whom I can tag on here better now that I know she has a Tumblr (as opposed to last time). Also, as a bit of a bonus, the painting in the background of the girls looking more old and sinister was painted by a different artist, the lovely @niinia!
This time, while it is still Abigail and Olivia’s musical project, VANDOLLZ, being promoted, it’s a different in-universe imprint this time. However, most of the hallmarks of the last cover are present, including a QR Code that leads to Sinizade’s Instagram this time. While I would have loved to put in a second one to link to one of Niinia’s socials, there wasn’t really enough space without the risk of too much clutter.
The song that is being promoted this time is a number by the name of “Immor(t)al Gray,” and if the imagery and some of the text on the cover didn’t give it away already, it’s based off of the novel “The Picture of Dorian Gray” by Oscar Wilde. The title’s bracketed “T” is to reflect the idea that Dorian is both “immoral” in how he behaves, and “immortal” due to the cursed painting. The song itself would also make reference to Oscar Wilde’s life and other works.
I actually have a second idea for a magazine cover using this particular story, so I might have to have that drawn at some point. Until then though, I’m satisfied with this one.
