it makes me so happy that you enjoyed in a field of dandelions so much, especially since i struggled to write it so much. there was a straight up week that i despised it, and luckily, that's when @insane-ohwhyfandoms stepped in to help me, for which i greatly love and appreciate fyre (amongst many other reasons).

and subtle plug for my work, but if you're looking for more mergwenthur, i have a few specifics i would recommend:

the king is dead (long live the queen) : aka my mergwenthur magnum opus, a post-s5 fic where merlin waits for arthur to wake after 1500 years, only to find gwen waking in his place

come to burn your kingdom down : an explicit crime AU featuring arwen as married crime lords and merlin as the undercover detective who becomes wrapped up in both of them

a little love in your heart : a merthur ted lasso au which can be read without having seen the show/without having any knowledge or context but may spoil a few episodes and plot arcs

ooooooooooh, you got lucky that this one was merthur. tbh, i don't remember much about it??? i think i started writing it last year after watching No Time To Die (literally on the way back from the movie theater)

tldr: merlin's little brother mordred and arthur's kids (with his ex-wife gwen) attend the same daycare and they keep bumping into each other at pickup. obvi merlin and arthur are spies with diff agencies, i can't remember if they knew each other's actual identities or whether it was identity porn.

since i'm being generous, i'll post all 300 words of this i wrote for it under the cut.

The gates of Camelot Primary have seen their fair share of rival parent-guardians. 

In the days of old (read: a few years ago), there was homemaker Megan and influencer mother Tamara who’d gotten into a hair-pulling row at the annual bake sale over whose apple crumble muffins were better. Their daughters, who had been only a tad less mature than their mothers, had led to a splitting of their class around whose parents curried favor with Megan rather than Tamara.

A year later, there was Henry, Aditi, and Rose. Henry and Aditi had always been bickering over parenting styles until it was brought to light that Henry’s wife Rose had actually been sleeping with Aditi and was going to leave her husband for her. The explosive divorce caused waves at Camelot Primary, and both children were eventually pulled from the school when Aditi and Rose moved to Dublin.

Then there was Erin, grandmother of twins Lottie and Lisa. Her sharp tongue had made her an enemy of many mothers, fathers, or legal guardians who encountered her at the gates of Camelot Primary. She’d taunted and rained psychological warfare on enough people that the other parent-guardians had come together to lodge a petition, banning Erin from picking her grandchildren up. The twins’ parents had been forced to hire a nanny, although Lottie and Lisa seemed happier nowadays with their grandmother no longer around after school every day.

And last year, there was Arthur Pendragon and Merlin Emrys, of course.

Arthur is a business consultant always travelling overseas who shares custody of his five-year-old daughter Ygraine with his ex-wife Gwen; he seems to pick Ygraine up every other day. 

Merlin is a researcher often away on trips to global universities as well as the older brother and guardian of his younger brother Mordred. He picks Mordred up several times a week; otherwise the duty falls to Merlin’s uncle Gaius.
