Athena: Nike is my favourite attendant!
Ares, angry: No, she is my favourite!
Hermes: Nike, who is your favourite god or goddess? Who do you prefer?
Nike: None, I like both.
Apollo: Oh Nike, come on, choose one!
Athena: This is not your business, so why do you want her to choose?
Apollo: Well ...
Athena: You and Dionysus have a bet, don't you?
Dionysus: Guilty!
Athena: Let me guess, you both lost, because you asumed that Nike will choose between me and Ares, am I right?
Dionysus: Yes!
Athena: Give me the money, as with Nike's decision of prefering both of us the money is mine and Ares'.
Dionysus: All right. *Giving Athena the money*
*Later*
Apollo: What the hell just happened? Did we loose a bet we both lost to Athena?
Dionysus: It seems like it.
Hermes: Wow, she is my new idol now!
O Nike, I praise and revere your name!
I fell, but you caught me and flew with me in your arms,
Safe and secure in your love.
And so I was able to triumph and soar above the storm.
Winged lady, I thank you for your lending me your strength when my own was not enough.
The peace I enjoy now would not have been possible without your intervention.
I sing your praises in gratitude, O Nike, O great Victory!
Thought of using Nike Goddess of Victory in a contemporary digital collage, making her wear the Nike’s trademark ‘swoosh’ ✅

'Tis thine in battle to confer the crown, the victor's prize, the mark of sweet renown,
For thou rul'st all things, Nike divine! And glorious strife, and joyful shouts are thine.
(Orphic Hymn #32)
