Lately I’ve fallen out of love with my work due to the fact that I have not enjoyed the process of creating as it has led me into making repetitive and boring outcomes. I’ve been forcing myself to create something in order to keep the consistent flow of posting on social media.
However, I took that thought out of my mind, just wanting to go back to the relaxing and fun technique I’ve developed into my process with no intention of posting. This resulted in me enjoying the freehand doodling and producing something I actually like [which ironically I’ve ended up posting 👀].
What I learnt from this was that forcing creativity can sometimes hold you back, potentially resulting in a poor outcome. Hence, you should take a breather and design for fun [I’ll have to keep reminding myself this because of imposter syndrome].
