yeah.... Yeah
she just couldn't let sleeping dogs lie. it was curiosity ── the inability to leave a puzzle unsolved ── & it would be the death of her. tonight wasn't that night. there was no chill that shot down her spine nor fit of unease or guilt when he caused her to turn on the balls of her feet ( papers clutched lightly between fingers & all ).
KLAUS ( @nikl3us ): it’s not polite to snoop.
" it's not polite to sneak up on people EITHER. " she responded. " & i'm not snooping, that would require actually going through his stuff. this is clearly out in the open where anybody walking by could see it ── i saw an opportunity & took it. " brows briefly furrow in his direction & lips stiffen into a line. it was meant to last a lot longer than it did, truly, but it melted into the softness of her smile before she could do anything about it & suddenly she was talking again. " i'm an opportunist. "
❛ i did warn you not to trust me. ❜ 200 RANDOM DIALOGUE PROMPTS. FROM KLAUS MIKAELSØN, at @nikl3us.
“ you did, and yet i still failed to heed your advice, ” the hurt was layered into thinly veiled sarcasm, it seemed in her later years it became tougher to not give way. or perhaps it was just the effect he had on her. what once may have felt like an odd kinship to her, an unlikely companion, now proven to be naught but one more of the universe's cruel ways to punish her. “ suppose i've gotten soft in my old age. ” she expects a retort of some sort, a sharp response or a joke at her own expense, but bianca doesn't grant him the satisfaction just yet. “ or perhaps it's still too easy to meddle with my mind–– ”
⤳ @nikl3us, 𝘯𝘪𝘬𝘭𝘢𝘶̈𝘴 𝘮𝘪𝘬𝘢𝘦𝘭𝘴ø𝘯, asked: ‹ i know what i’d do, but you’ve cut my hands off. ›
“ oh, don't be so dramatic. i've only set a few necessary boundaries. and your compliance, i'll let you know, is extremely and happily appreciated –– i have full faith you could strike out and disregard them with little hesitation if you really cared to. ” her dazzling smile is bright and wide, and a bit separated from the matter at hand ( the matter at all times being a bit of bloodshed in one's back pocket ). “ but it all means that we'll need to be creative. and not cause a scene. ” a bloodless resolution was all fine and lovely in theory, but in practice required thinking a bit hard at what, exactly, there was to do when dealing with undesirables besides bringing them to violent ends.
“ i cannot see on command... it doesn’t work like that.”
sitting on each side of the booth, they exchange glances ( a glare from @nikl3us, a curious, rapid blinking of the eyes from her ), she can tell his patience is wearing thin – through the century, she’s gotten better at reading basic emotions, figuring out what they mean on other people. She doesn’t feel as out of place, but she does tend to mimic others’ behavior when she experiences overwhelm, which is why her arms mirror his’, crossed over her chest, and her posture is rigid like a statue. Klaus Mikaelson presents himself like someone who ought to be feared, and he is. The vision of splattering blood on a white wall and trembling shrieks that left her shaking on the ground before meeting him officially testifies to that.
She does not wish to ever have to endure a torturing vision about him again.
“ and if it did, i would still not tell you anything. you seek to harm whoever you’re tracking… i don’t want to be a part of that, ” she can still smell the blood on his hands ( not so much on his breath, unlike some vampires, it’s like he kills for entirely different purposes other than feeding ) “ and this place… i can’t see anything here. It’s like … a mantle, you know? a shadowy mantle over mystic falls. it there is anything to see, i can’t see it.” maybe that’s why she’s begged Jasper to stay longer, maybe she’d stay forever if it means not seeing ever again.
