Good Morning👋. I unearthed this photo from a few years ago 😛. I find that Red-Bellied Woodpeckers (Melanerpes carolinus) are great photography subjects. They are quite common in some areas and are not necessarily shy birds 😀. This one in particular remained perched on this tree stump holding its acorn for quite a while😊. #NikonD5200 , #Nikon500mm (same focal length), f/8, 1/250s, ISO100. I've found that it's pretty much impossible to #hunt & #photograph at the same time. To do it right, I need to commit to one or the other.
