“yup… guess i don't have any luck when it comes to dating…” you sighed and plopped down onto your bed defeated, burying your face in your pillow to stifle your sighs.

“i'm sure you'll find someone that fits to you eventually…!” pyrrha suggested carefully, yet her hesitant expression revealed the truth.

as much as she hated seeing you come home from one failed date after another, pyrrha wanted nothing more than for you to realize that instead of searching for love, you already had someone by your side who loved you more than anything; her!

a/n: i've been rewatching rwby recently & i just love pyrrha so much! i miss my girl, so i need to write more for her <3

“i think… i might be falling in love with you.”

pyrrha could barely look at you, as she gasped out those words. under any other circumstances, those would've been happy words for her. but there was one thing that made this situation more complicated; pyrrha was already your girlfriend. at least, publicly she was, as the two of you were faking a relationship.

“but… it doesn't feel right.”

pyrrha added, finally looking up at you. both of you knew why this didn't feel right. but it seems pyrrha was too afraid to admit the reason.

“it doesn't feel right, because i wasn’t supposed to be the one you'd end up with.” you quietly said.

the one that should've ended up with pyrrha was jaune. he was a nice guy, if a little naive at times. pyrrha thought that if she'd pretend to date you, maybe he'd finally pay attention to her. but in the end, she found herself falling for you, instead of jaune…

“i'm sorry, i– i should've never asked you to pretend to date me in the first place…” pyrrha sighed, running a hand through her hair and turning away. “and i'm sorry that i fell in love with you…”

“i know this isn't how it was supposed to end, nor does it feel right…” you started hesitantly. “but if you give me a chance, i can make it feel right. i could be the one you want…”

pyrrha's eyes widened as they darted towards you. for a moment, she stared at you in shock, before her expression softened and she took a step towards you, gently taking your hands into hers.

“you're already the one that i want.”

the two of you were sparing together, pyrrha showing you how to properly thrust your weapon, how to dodge and how to escape an opponent's grip

however, when it came to the section of teaching you how to stay calm during battle, things got a little heated!

the two of you were locked into a fierce sword duel, trying to wait for an opportunity to disarm your opponent

and as a way to distract you from the sword fighting at hand, pyrrha suddenly kissed you, when she managed to corner you

you were so flustered that you dropped your sword in an instance, causing the pretty redhead to chuckle amused, as she picked it up for you and handed it to you with a grin

“i didn't know it was that easy to distract you” she teased. “i'll have to keep that in mind, for when we face each other again~”
