let's take a break 🔀 general (phyllisabelle)
that moment when you weren't listening because you were busy reading up, and you thought your professor just called you to answer but it turns out, she just wanted to take a break. #lawst

Rabbitohs Continue Their Perfect Season
After their epic round two match against the Sydney Roosters, it was understandable that the Rabbitohs came into this match a little flat. Their opponents, the Tigers, were probably a little harshly dubbed as massive underdogs coming into this match, given they had gone 2 wins from 2 games to start the season.
Nevertheless, the Tigers started the brighter of the two teams with Pat Richards crossing early, only to have the decision sent upstairs. Richards was marginally off-side, with the Rabbitohs earning a penalty. The Tigers continued dominating, with their three big units Aaron Woods, Keith Galloway and Martin Taupau eating up the metres. Unfortunately for the Tigers, all this helped them manage was losing the ball slightly closer to the Rabbitohs tryline.
Both teams struggled with their handling throughout the first half hour, with each having some good opportunities in the opposition red zone. Despite this, both teams made a lot of handling errors and lacked the creativity required to cross the stripe.
Dylan Walker, who had earlier hurt his left wrist, went up the tunnel and didn’t look good, further compounding the poor start for the Rabbitohs. The match continued to stutter along, with neither team able to capitalize on their chances. Walker eventually came back on, with his hand looking like something out of a horror movie, and bravely battled on for the remainder of the match.
Eventually, in the 30th minute, Farah darted out of dummy half close to the Rabbitohs line, putting in a grubber which hit the leg of a Souths defender. Farah quickly re-gathered and dived over under the posts. Richards slotted the extras and the Tigers had a well deserved lead at the half hour mark.

As is often the case with champions, the Rabbitohs struck back quickly. After an early error from the Tigers, Souths put on a set play from a scrum, which saw a sweeping play out to the left with Greg Inglis cutting out Bryson Goodwin and hitting Alex Johnston on the chest to stroll over untouched. Reynolds nailed the conversion from out wide to level it at 6-6.
One set of six later and the Bunnies were in again, after a deft grubber was put through by Reynolds for the one handed Walker to ground the ball for a try. Reynolds finally missed a goal, but the Bunnies had taken the lead into half time, despite trailing 6-0 after 31 minutes.
One of the intriguing battles coming into this match was Greg Inglis v James Tedesco. It didn’t take long in the second half for GI to show Teddy who’s boss. Tedesco dropped a towering Reynolds bomb, putting Souths right on the attack. The Bunnies went right, before a nice little run around between Reynolds and Glenn Stewart had the Tigers edge defenders back peddling. This allowed Inglis time and space to get on the outside of Simona and get one on one with Tedesco. Almost inevitably, GI ran over the top of young Tedesco to score, before giving Tedesco a death stare, showing how far the young Tiger is from being top dog. Reynolds nailed the conversion to take the lead to 16-6 after 47 minutes.
From the ensuing kickoff, the Tigers seemed to change in their tactics. Martin Taupau dog shotted Reynolds on the kick off chase, before coming in for some special treatment on his next run from Isaac Luke. Tempers were beginning to flare, with some massive hits being put on. Inglis hammered Tedesco, before Naiqama followed suit, nailing Bryson Goodwin. The tempo of the game had slowed though, with stoppages seemingly occurring every set.
The match appeared to be petering out, before two of the biggest blokes on the field, Tim Grant and Keith Galloway, came toe to toe. But, as is the case these days, a bitch slap from Galloway was all the action we got to see, with the refs stepping in quickly. The Tigers earned a couple more opportunities, but continued making mistakes. Eventually, Walker crossed for his double, sealing the win 20-6, with Greg Inglis claiming man of the match.
It was an error filled game, with the Tigers (17) and the Rabbits (13) failing to control the ball. Neither team really hit top gear and considering how these teams have been playing, this was quite a disappointing match.
For the Rabbitohs, they maintain perfection in season 2015. They will next face the Parramatta Eels, a team they have dominated in recent seasons, at Pirtek Stadium on Friday Night. You would be a brave man to bet against them going 4/4. In some bad news however, it appears as though Dylan Walker may miss a month of football after reportedly breaking his hand.
The Tigers also play next Friday night, hosting the Bulldogs at ANZ Stadium in what should be a very tough match, with the Tigers winning only 1 of the past 7 matches between the teams.
Rabbitohs 20 (Walker 2, Johnston, Inglis tries; Reynolds 2/4 goals) def Wests Tigers 6 (Farah try; Richards 1/1 goal) at ANZ Stadium Crowd: 23,211
So my review on The Great Gatsby: Damn good movie! I felt so at home watching it. I swear I was a flapper in my past life! I was meant to live in the roaring 20's. Anyway, I'll admit it's a little slow but it doesn't take away from the movie at all. I had a joy-gasm with all the costumes in it. I want to make some of them. My only dislike MY ONLY COMPLAINT was the use of rap and hip hop throughout the whole movie. It was a massive annoyance. But otherwise it was great! Definitely want to buy it! Sad my schools never made us read it eons ago!
