Harry is not going back to the Dursleys. He has been out of the cupboard for a whole year; he’s not going back in. It’s tricky - he doesn’t really want to have to explain to anyone. But he’s magic now! He has an invisibility cloak! And he’s had a lot of practice lying still and pretending he doesn’t exist. So he can definitely hide out and avoid being put back on the Hogwarts Express, right? Nothing can go wrong with an eleven year old by themselves for 9 weeks in a wild, magical castle, can it?

NB - I do not support JKR, nor her ongoing campaign to ostracise and isolate trans people. Trans Liberation Now. I remain in the fandom but solemnly swear never to support her financially, I will not buy her books, merchandise or watch her content.

You ever think about how Harry and Draco had the Nimbus 2000 and 2001?

And that there were 1999 versions of Nimbus that came before them (presumably)?

What did the Nimbus 1 look like? Was it a twig?

There was a noticeable difference in how fast the Nimbus 2000 versus the 2001 were. How slow could the Nimbus 1 have been?

I remember when I was about seven my dad made me a toy nimbus 2000 and I loved it and pretended I was Harry’s Quidditch rival or something but now I’ve come to realise that it looked more similar to a cleansweep? I honestly have no life to think this up

Can we just take a moment to appreciate the fact that the broom company released the Nimbus 2000 and everyone was crowding in the stores, gawking at it, excitedly saying how much they wanted it and it was a huge deal that Harry had it because it was a freaking Nimbus 2000!?

And then the next year, they released the Nimbus 2001, which was considerably more expensive and everyone had to have one and those who did manage to get one kept making fun of the Nimbus 2000?

And then the very next year, the Firebolt came out and everyone was talking about how amazing it was and how it was leagues beyond the Nimbus 2000 and the Nimbus 2001 and it was so expensive that even Harry, with his vast mountains of gold, couldn’t afford it?
