Thank you, darling. Last year was really painful in so many aspects of my life, and until now some parts of RL remain sore for me, but here I am, still. Lots of lessons to be learned about RL and oneself, but glad to know I can take a few knocks (and be able to knock back when push shoves).

Hello, my dear! Ugh, I don’t know where this craving came from (yes I do: it’s got something to do with reblogging this recipe of a portobello mushroom with enchilada stuffing, haha). I love cheese but I’ve not done my grocery shopping yet, hence no cheese in the ref, not even a crumb. Wahhh. Apart from that am doing okay, life is hard but currently I am balancing everything. Have some family medical problems to deal with, and studies, which are never ending, while settling down in a new environment. I’ve missed you, hon. How is everything? I hope you’re doing well. Cheers!

Thank you, my lovely! I have to admit, there were times during these past months when I really felt stretched beyond my limit. RL is so NOT fun at times. It’s so not fun AT ALL.

Ha, so true. I was prepping my Swedish a while ago and tried to listen to Swedish audiobooks. IT WAS TERRIBLE, I understood the numbers, perhaps. Then I listened to some Finnish-Swedish podcasts and wow, I could actually follow the conversation!

Heh, yeah! I can understand everything the Finnish actors say, probably because they basically pronounce every word the way it's written just like in Finnish, but the moment Noomi Rapace or her husband or children speak I have to listen extra hard to make out the words. Swedish was always one of my best subjects in school and even though I don't use it much these days I can still understand it pretty well, especially written Swedish. But like sifsdottir said in her reblog of my post, there's a big difference between how Swedes, Fenno-Swedes and Finns speak Swedish and there are some dialects that I just can't make out no matter how hard I try. It's like the people are speaking a completely foreign language and I only recognize random words unless I get to read what they're saying in text form.

But then again, it's the same with some Finnish dialects :D I'd have a hard time holding a conversation with someone who speaks one of the Savonian dialects. Even Turku dialect is hard to follow at times.

Winter was typing to Mrs. Toasty!  (I’d been typing to him, but was forced to move over to my phone to continue our chat once Winter started participating via the laptop.)

Awww. :)  I have trained mine mostly out of biting by yipping really loud and high when they try it, trying to sound like a wounded kitten (it was advised by my vet).  But some cats just have bitey moods!  I’m glad the nickname is coming in handy, at least.  ;)

Heh, YES.  I also have some fave authors and stories that do this; it’s not impossible to do well.  But it is nearly impossible for me not to be shouting, “what are you doing?!  have sex first!” ;D

My director is kind of hilarious.  And he thinks I’m a huge Harry Potter fan, because I once shared a graph I made about Harry Potter on my personal social media account.  And he thinks I should be friends with his teenage daughter, who is an actual huge HP fan and dragged the whole family to a whole bunch of HP-themed tourist spots. :)
