As someone who plays highlander a lot, what is your experience with Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth if any?
I’ve found it to be quite playable in almost any deck that wants to play black. The big thing is it makes your colorless lands tap for actual colors and it fixes effortlessly for BB spells, which there are a lot of.
Can I target a Karmic Guide in my graveyard with an Animate Dead?
Yes, you can.
The results are... interesting.
Karmic Guide’s protection from black ability only functions while it’s on the battlefield, and so Animate Dead can legally enchant it when it’s just a card in its owner’s graveyard.
When Animate Dead’s ETB trigger resolves, it will return Karmic Guide to the battlefield but then be unable to attach itself to Karmic Guide on the battlefield. This means that Animate Dead isn’t enchanting anything. When state-based actions are checked, Animate Dead will be put into its owner’s graveyard because it’s an unattached Aura on the battlefield. Finally, before anyone gets priority, both Karmic Guide’s ETB trigger and Animate Dead’s LTB trigger go on the stack.
Once everything is said and done, both Karmic Guide and Animate Dead are in their owners’ graveyards and another creature from Animate Dead’s controller’s graveyard has been returned to the battlefield.
On the subject of the asker that said that Amonkhet might not be the Egyptian world people wanted, I would just like to point out that it feels super Egyptian. The gods exist to govern over the humans and help toward the afterlife, and the humans themselves have but one purpose in life: making it to the afterlife. In ancient Egypt, life was far less relevant than what came after death to the Egyptians. As a mythology fan, I was super happy with Amonkhet.

As someone who is trying to start a highlander scene at my LGS, we came across an argument where someone thinks the Snow-Covered basics aren't treated as basics, meaning you can only run one. Could I ask you for clarification on this matter?
Snow-covered basic lands still have the basic type, and in Canadian Highlander are treated the same as normal basics for the purpose of deck construction.
If I were declare an infinite milling loop, with something like the Saheeli modern combo someone posted earlier, and my opponent is running a one-of Emrakul, the Aeons Torn in their main deck, can I declare a shortcut that allows me to mill them until the iteration where Emrakul is the last card in their library, and I keep it there for them to draw?
No, you can’t. You can’t say how many iterations it will take, so you can’t loop it and it’s slow play to attempt to engineer the situation manually.
So I was watching the Pro Tour and saw Ben Rubin pile shuffle Martin Juza's deck and present it as his cut. Isn't there a problem with pile shuffling in general in tournaments?
Pile counting isn’t shuffling, but a player can pile count a deck once each game to verify the number of cards in it. This is fine.
Can I request a Legendary Insect?
You may.
In regards to the play group that doesn't think highly of you, I've heard a number voice their dislike of your voice. That could be one reason (not that it's necessarily a good one).
