#spotlightsunday is this insanely beautiful #ninilchikswoncho being knit by @explorerknits in our DK! SO GORGEOUS, it makes me want to cast on another one! Well done @explorerknits! We can’t wait to see it finished! #Repost @explorerknits ・・・ Happy Saturday, everyone 💜 I want to use today’s post to talk about self care. The other day I shared a quote in my stories about our body’s “check engine” light being on and we’re all still driving like “nah, I’ll be fine”and the amount of responses I received relating to that message blew me away. Scrolling through this feed of beautiful squares sometimes leads us to forget that in some way or another, we are all struggling through different seasons of our lives in many ways. I think that it can be even more difficult to ignore that ”check engine” light around the holidays when we’re madly trying to fill orders, knit up and create handmade gifts for loved ones, and complete all of life’s other duties in a timely manner. So, today, I would love for you to share one of two things: (1) what are you doing for self-care this holiday season, or (2) what is causing your check engine light to come on? Sometimes it just feels nice to get it off your chest and out into the open! I’ll go first: self-care to me means sitting with my fiancé and fur babies on the couch in the morning sipping my coffee, eating a donut, and listening to a podcast (knitting, political, true crime, etc.). My check engine light is on because I have final exams to grade, save the dates to send out, Christmas yarn to dye, and a thesis to write ☺️ care to share?! ❤️ https://www.instagram.com/p/BrMTJYRBHF-/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=90le3ncgeh6v
