I have a few problems with the dhurandhar fans, it might just be me being dramatic but idk. I just needed to rant somewhere, your page feels like the safest place. Sorry.
1. Why are we thirsting over a man who cheated on his wife and is now dating his mistress? Just because he is pretty? Like what? Also major iqbal's charecter was so ruthless and a disgusting pos, why are we in love- like what's going on? Nor Arjun Rampal nor Iqbal are good men. Both pos, just on two different spectrums.
2. Suddenly falling head over heels for Akshaye Khanna. Nobody was there when I said him as Dharmvir Bhan was the hottest he has ever been on screen. Now suddenly everyone loves Rehman Dakait. Which is fine I guess, but just needed to point out the hypocrisy.
3. Sane for Ranveer's characters. He was loved by many before, trolled for his atrangi persona, but now that he has done a subpar ultra masc movie glorifying sacrifice, everybody loves him. Which is again, fine, but hypocritical. He has always been such a stellar performer. The range this man has is unbelievable.
I feel like once the hype dies down, people will shit on him again. Like they did with prabhas, once the bb1 and bb2 hype died down and he gave a few flops people were yet again shitting on him.
4. Yalina with any older male shippers. I have been an avid watcher of South Indian movies most of my life and I have seen Sara act as a child, I cannot put that image out of my mind. Everytime someone writes a yalina x anyone fanfic, I feel so disturbed. This is more of a personal opinion. You do you. But also, sending prayers. Yall need help. (someone's been requesting rehman and yalina fanfic smuts😐😐😐 Astaghfirullah Astaghfirullah!!!) Bachhi hai woh! Khuda ka khauf nahi hai in logo ko.
5. Not seeing the blatant propaganda. I agree it's a good movie. Deserves all the praises but turning a blind eye to the 'eh that sounds biased' parts is not nice.
6. People glorifying Hamza and Yalina's relationship. Ya'll are clearly very young or haven't had a real relationship in your life coz how are we ignoring the part where Hamza literally manipulated and groomed her to use her as a part of his mission? Sure, he might have grown to care for her in the meantime and genuinely loved her, but that doesn't substantiate the part where he took advantage of her vulnerabilities and built the whole relationship over lies. Imagine that happening to you at such a delicate age. Bhai main toh na sehti.
That's enough for today. Some might call me overbearing and that i looking too much into things. And maybe I am. But I Can't help it. I am very opiniated. I’m glad you found my page safe enough to express yourself, and i will be answering to all of your points from my perspective. I won’t be speaking on anyone else’s behalf.
1. I agree, Arjun Rampal is problematic irl and his character is just the worst but personally, I’ve liked him way before social media existed and I didn’t know anything about his personal life, for me yea he’s just a pretty face. (If that makes me shallow my bad, but he’s been a literal childhood preference, yk “shade cards toh deewaron ke liye hote hain”🤭)
2. Again, I’m not in love with Akshaye Khanna but I’ve always loved him as an actor, I’ve always thought he’s handsome and an excellent actor. For others I wouldn’t call it hypocrisy, just a change of opinions because he definitely did a banger job with the character.
3. Ranveer, I get what you’re saying, but comparing the situation with prabhas is just not right, not to hurt anyone’s sentiments but prabhas can’t act. If it weren’t for the Rajamouli hype of bb1 and the question “why did kattapa kill bahubali” hype for bb2, I don’t think it would’ve done what it did. The action and visuals helped alot. Also i have watched a lot of South Indian movies of prabhas but his acting is not as great as mahesh babu, Ntr and Ram charam or surya.
That aside ranveer in an insanely talented actor, and a very smart guy who literally flipped the script by changing the way dresses for everyone to take him seriously. Everyone who loves him will continue to love him no matter what💕
4. Yes that’s understandable. But i will pass no comment on that, people have fantasies and it’s not my problem. I don’t like yalinax rehman either.
5. THE MOVIE IS AMAZING, the buildup the storytelling is absolutely perfect, characterisation so apt but Aditya dhar is a businessman, a very smart one at that, he knows what will sell. That’s all i have to say😙
6. RANVEER AND SARA’s chemistry is INSANE. They looked so good together that one really just looks past everything that led them there. And tbf it was the need of the mission, that is the harsh reality of being a spy, there are casualties, some get hurt physically, others emotionally.
