Ninja Combat (Neo Geo) (1990)
35 Years Ago, 7/24
You HEARD of this?
7/24/1990, JP got Ninja Combat on the arcade! It's simple, but it's also a history maker as one of THE FIRST Neo Geo arcade AND home systems. You control one of two ninjas (more can be unlocked) in this action game.
Moves like a beat 'em up, but not action?

JULY 2019 UPDATE www.arcadequartermaster.com
Three more retrogaming arcade shrines for the site are live!
NINJA COMBAT: While SNK has reigned as one of the kings of fighting games in the 90s and decent platformers, beat em ups are not their forte, ranging from tedious at worst to mediocre at best. Even with ADK’s hand, Ninja Combat is one of those that combines sharp graphics with dull beat em up mashing. Even with the plethora of ninja weapons and flashy super moves, the game’s main gimmick is the ability to recruit defeated adversaries into your team of playable heroes, something of a novelty that became a recurring motif for games like Guardians of the Hood, Gaia Crusaders and Sengoku 3.
CRUDE BUSTERS: One of Data East’s obscure beat-em-ups, follow the Two Crude Dudes as heroes for hire in post-apocalyptic New York to dismantle the Big Valley Gang. Justice will be delivered with fisticuffs as the Crude Buster use hand-to-hand as well as uprooting barrels and posts as bludgeoning weapons to investigate the root of this gang and its criminal mastermind -- a mad evolutionary scientist bent for the creation of a mutant supersoldier army!
Q*BERT: A lovable mascot of the 80s, guide Q*Bert across pyramids of multitudes of colors while escaping dangerous creatures! In a game of skill, reflex and strategy, turn all of the pyramids into the target color to advance to the next challenge!
Enjoy the new shrines!
Ninja Combat (SNK, 1990)
The 1990 Neo Geo arcade title Ninja Combat is this longplay, playthrough, walkthrough and guide video. An early title for SNK's system and one us here at RG are long time fans of. Developed by Alpha Denshi Corporation who later shorten their name to just ADK. Most people reading this wont realise, but this is a follow up to Alpha Denshi earlier 1989 game Gang Wars only changing the warring gangs for Ninjas.
