The Ninjago Map has finally been printed!!!

It measures 24"x32", printed on canvas. I've been wanting to do this forever since my prototype map was destroyed by my ceiling fan... Anyway, I've added it to the form, so if you're interested, here's the link: https://forms.gle/gmS3YeDfM3hXhytA8

Oh and to answer the inevitable question, I do eventually want to do a map of the Merged Lands, just...whenever Dragons Rising is nearing the end (considering every new season will make it out of date).

I've come to the realization that I can't use the official or semi-official Ninjago maps for my rewrite.

There are at most two maps on the Wiki that contain a lot of information about Ninjago locations, but the problem is, THEY ARE INCONSISTENT!

In one map, the monastery is located near Ninjago City, but in another, the monastery is on the other side of the island! The temples of the golden weapons are also very inconsistent, and it's difficult to know if they are close to each other or far apart.

But if they are far apart, then it would take a very long time for the ninjas

to go from one temple to another, so it would make more sense for the temples to be very close together. Another problem I have is that, for such a gigantic island, the number of cities and civilizations is extremely small.

Like, even super-large countries have more than just one large city and four small cities. Honestly, this makes Ninjago seem very small when most of the land is just deserts or forests with an extremely small number of cities.

I think I'll do my own reinvention of the map for my reimagining, a map with the goal of being more consistent. I'll add new places and, when I can, I'll indicate where characters come from and a little information about those locations.

Just a little late with the publication of this part of MAP

Technically I finished it at the end of October, but...

It so happened that I seemed to work more with the background, I tried to do it as carefully as possible, but it still jerks a little at the beginning... (I tried to fix it but...)

Because I am diagnosed both ADHD AND OCD and my hyper focus can eat yours for breakfast. I had 1 (ONE) small question about the geography of Ninjago and I may’ve done a small dive into what few maps there are to answer it and gotten frustrated that not of them were complete. So I picked the most complete, fixed a mistake, and set to filling in the rest.

I just spent like 2 hours trying to deduce where the Serpentine Tombs were. My biggest frustration that took me a bit to understand, was that none of my partial maps had the same north! Once I figured out where North truly was on each, THEN I could start comparing them and lining them up, already a task in itself because I had to account for tilt, the different orientations, and scaling, which was only made more difficult by the whole NONE OF THESE MAPS HAVE THE SAME NORTH thing.

So here’s the results. Things I feel like the show runners need to include in any future maps (Besides a true north) Darkley’s, The Monastery, and Ignacia Village. Judging by how the environment looked in “The Royal Blacksmiths” I’m guessing Cole’s home town is near the Bad Lands. We know Zane’s home is in the Birchwood Forest, and Jay grew up in the Sea of Sands. We can also deduce that Jamanakai has to be a southern village (relative to Ninjago City) since Lloyd was within a day’s walk of the Hypnobrai tomb, which is roughly in the bordering area of the Glacier Barrens and the Birtchwood Forest. I don’t remember if Oroborus was in the Sea of Sands or the Bad Lands, but lore wise, I’d say it probably lines up with the (SLANTED!!) Snake symbol all the tombs are hidden on. Meaning current day Ninjago City stands of what used to be in the Valley of the Serpentine. If we knew where The Monastery was we could probably find where the boarder was since we know Wu and Garmadon grew up there, and had to be less than an afternoon’s walk there since Wu snuck over so many times to teach Aspheera Spinjitzu.

By all means, save these maps! I labored over them! Use it! Repost if you want (though credit for the time I spent forcing it to make sense would be nice)

REMINDER even I forgot I was hosting this almost, It is still open! Please spread word or if you would like apply for a part. 

I am currently thinking about if this MAP should be closed or not if I shouldn’t close the map and have it keep going let me know by liking or re-blogging! It would mean a lot.
