I’m actually going to reblog a thing just because this is really important.
As someone who has epilepsy and used to have several grand mal seizures a day, I’d also like to add that “offer help” can range anywhere from keeping the person calm to explaining to them where they are and what they were doing to even just telling them they should sit and rest for a while longer (lack or coordination is common, and it can be hard to walk straight or see clearly).
It’s okay for them to take up to a half hour to fully regain their bearings and sort out what they were doing prior to the seizure. Just answer any questions calmly and be there for support.
If they come around and you start to panic or shake them or ask them what the heck is wrong with them they are going to freak out and panic too.
I cannot stress it enough that this is bad.
If someone has a seizure and they come out of it, please. please stay calm.
They are likely disoriented and confused, even if it’s only for a minute or two, and you don’t want them panicking on top of that because they can have another seizure as a result.
People who genuinely believe Gooseworx was forced by fans to make Jax trans are genuinely idiots, or they simply can't accept that the character was always intended to be trans.
Seriously, do Goose's comments about Jax being her SELF-INSERT mean nothing to you guys??
That’s what I thought too. It also implies that Goose—a trans woman—wouldn't make one of her characters trans unless she was pressured by fans. That undermines her not just as a writer, but as a trans woman, too! And I’m tired of people treating Goose like a bad writer simply because certain elements of the show didn't turn out exactly the way many people wanted, or because it didn't confirm various theories. It’s her show, and she has the right to do whatever she wants. Plus, what counts as "good writing" is subjective; everyone has a different opinion on it, so naturally, there are going to be differing views on the topic. Personally, I loved the ending and thought it fit perfectly with the show's themes of finding hope in the worst situations.

Hey artists, C. Spike Trotman, founder of Iron Circus Comics, just posted an invaluable thread on depicting different types of black hair. I’d do the thing where you screencap the whole thread and post it but it’s just too long (which is great because it’s a whole lot of useful information!) Give her a follow while you’re there.
Anyway, go check it out. I just wanted to save it and share it because I didn’t know how much I didn’t know!
This is an amazing resource, not only for artists, but for writers too! I love this!
{ID - tweet from @/Iron_Spike that reads, “Black Hair for Non-Black Artists: a Cheat Sheet Thread. Hi, folks! Just spur-of-the-moment decided to put together some reference for folks who want to draw/model black characters in their work, but arent confident they won’t make simple, obvious mistakes w/r/t black hair. I just found a webcomic about a little boy trying to find his mom and eventually getting adopted by aliens with biblical appearances. And every page of this comic leaves me like this:
The art is simply beautiful, too! The artist creates the backgrounds and environments themself, and there are incredibly detailed panels.
And the story is just beautiful to read. I’m still in the middle of reading it, but I highly recommend checking it out!
The name of the comic is On the Way to Meet Mom on Webtoon. But be careful—if you suffer from "cute aggression," brace yourselves!
My first Social Link, and it just had to be this weirdo...
First, he asks weird questions about Yukari and gets all pissed off when I say I "like girls my own age"—like, bro, I’m not going to make the protagonist say he’s into adult women!
I’m even going to guess that the teacher he likes is Yukari’s mom. Ugh. I should’ve picked Kazuishi instead of this guy!
Honestly, I should talk more about how the game is going for me. Honestly, it’s not that bad! Yeah, I died like three times in a row to some Shadows (and Death), but at least I managed to come up with a strategy to beat some of them!
Who knew that spamming debuffs on enemies and attacking them while they're dazed would be a good strategy! Lol.
Also, I'm playing as Makoto first since the game told me it's better for beginners. I'm really enjoying the game, I won't deny it. It's no wonder it's a fan favorite, right up there with P4 and P5.
I found a post on Pinterest talking about Lloyd's voice actor not shipping Llorumi, and this guy kept showing up in every other comment saying that the ship is toxic or conflicting with the post.
People are just agreeing with what the voice actor said and pointing out their reasons for disliking the ship, yet this person comes along and starts attacking them.
That doesn't exactly paint a good picture of the ship's fanbase, in my opinion.
It’s one of the reasons I don't really interact with Llorumi fans—or Harumi fans in general. I know not all of them are bad, but I also know full well there are people like that out there, and I’d rather not play Russian roulette with it.
(remember not everything is accurate or correct, I am human and don’t understand everything. Inform me of anything I need to add or take out.)
Now I like Harumi and (every once in a while) lorumi, but I understand that she ship is toxic in MOST circumstances.
• I like it occasionally as a fictional relationship. FICTIONAL, I don’t like this a a real situation. Fictional relationships that are messed up are ok as long as you understand that they ARNT acceptable in real life situations
• I like lorumi when it’s a redeemed Harumi x Lloyd or evil Lloyd x Harumi. I do enjoy the canon Lloyd x Harumi as a plot-twist, same as I like the concept of lorumi swapped (Lloyd= the quiet one and Harumi= the green ninja)
• cannon lorumi as a real situation is not ok, but for a show it’s fine as long as it’s clear that it wouldn’t be good if done irl. Toxic ships are ok to like as long as you understand that it’s not something to re-create and remember to keep your own relationships healthy.
• how to understand if it’s a healthy relationship (fictional or otherwise)? Does one person overrule the other? Does one hurt the other? Do they hurt each other? Does one or both constantly lie? Do they constantly fight? Most if not all the time that singles something is wrong (there more but I can’t list them all) now, do they both consent to it? Do they apologize after arguments? Do they both try understand each other? This is usually a somewhat healthy relationship (there’s more but I can’t list them all.
• is it illegal? Is your shit illegal? When I say that I don’t mean murder or meth, I’m talking about child x adult, incest, or anything similar. Those things are genuinely gross, disgusting, repulsive. If you don’t see how this is bad then I advise go fucking look it up or get help.
• opinions. It ok to have your own opinion and it’s ok to not like others. What’s not ok is harassment. If you don’t like it then move on. Unless their opinion is something grotesque like “[REALLY BAD S3xu@l THING] is ok if she/he was wearing xyz” then you report the person and inform others that the person isn’t very trustworthy. I personally am willing to listen to other people’s perspectives and take constructive criticism, having a wide view is good
Feel free to give me your opinions and your own criticisms. Give me advice and give me what you like. I like to know what others think and really hope that at least some of us could get along and understand each other. Inform me of anything I should add or take out!!
Honestly, I agree with everything you said! Yeah, I don't like Llorumi in the context of the show, but I don't have a problem with people who ship them, as long as they understand that their relationship isn't healthy and don't try to romanticize it.
I especially prefer interpretations of the ship where Harumi learns to be a better person before entering into a serious relationship with Lloyd—and especially after Lloyd has healed mentally from the things she did to him.
What I don't like is people ignoring the red flags in their dynamic and insisting that they are "perfect for each other," "cute," or "completely fine." And I especially dislike it when they get toxic about the ship and try to downplay other Lloyd ships, like Llokita.
Thank you very much for sharing your perspective on the ship in a civil manner; I wish more discussions about ships were like this.
