...I like to think that in The Parting of the Ways, the TARDIS was keeping Rose safe for as long as she had the Time Vortex in her head. It was a while, and she did a lot. I mean, she destroyed millions of Daleks. I like to think the TARDIS knew what was going on, and because she loves her Doctor, her patron thief, the man who stole her, she protects Rose as well as she can. Because Rose loves him, too.
Christopher Eccleston's intensity as the Doctor gives me chills every single time. He despised the Daleks, so I despise them. He made me terrified of them. Nowadays the Daleks are just a castoff joke in the Whoniverse, but remember when we first saw them in New Who? And remember in Bad Wolf, the way he cracked his neck before speaking to them? Remember how he defied them? Remember the hatred, the fear, the look on his face? He is the Oncoming Storm. He is the Dalek's worst enemy. They are his worst enemy. The intensity that Eccleston brought to the table is threaded through his entire run. No other actor could have done that. He was amazing, and that isn't something you can deny. Anyone watching Nine's run and coming away disappointed is obviously not watching the same show as I am, or something. Nine was incredible, and he deserves more credit.

Oh man, so excited! I know I'm going to bawl like a baby. I cried when Rose got disintegrated in the last episode. I love you, Doctor Who. Best show ever. Wow, I sort of feel like I'm typing this from a diagonal angle. Ever get that feeling?
Well you can stay there if you want! But right now there's this plasma storm brewing in the Horsehead Nebula. Fires are burning ten million miles wide! I could fly the TARDIS right into the heart of it and ride the shockwave all the way out. Hurtled right across the sky and end up anywhere! Your choice.
