Why did you make me a poet?
I too wish to be that inarticulate one,
in whom centuries old melancholies and dreams bloom and wither away,
having failed to melt those strongest of hearts.
Why did you make me a poet?
I am fine with those unspoken occassional loves and those more frequent heartbreaks,
where the urge to write those down never surface,and
unrequited loves are often forgotten and not cherished through broken poetries.
Why did you make me a poet?
Wasn't I too born human?,
Why do I alone have to bleed out my heart?
Why do I find even this poem irrelevant, yet
can't help but write it?
