Q. What kind of Ice Show was THE ICE 2022 this time?
Shoma: "I think it was a great show where so many top athletes from overseas got together. I was also able to do a collaboration with Nathan Chen and I think it became something really good. The overall atmosphere of this ice show, rather than the sense of unity where Japanese shows usually have, it was an ice show where everyone's personality came through strongly. Everyone is also really friendly in the backstage so it was very fun for the ones doing it as well. And I hope people who have been watching, enjoyed us having fun too.” Q. How was your programs? Shoma: “My program, well, I still think about going on as a competitor so, I'm performing my free program for this year. At the competition venue, jumps became the main thing now so the jumps are the main thing for the free program as well.
