Nitori: Um! Have you seen a small brown book? It has a cat insignia on the corner and is bound by red leather?

Rei: I can't say I have. I've just arrived here.

Nitori: Ah... this is no good. My notes were in there...

Rei: Notes?

Nitori: I've been working on creating this salve for a while and I know I'm close but now that I can't find my journal...

Rei: I'll help you look for it. Where do you last recall having it?

Nitori: Well, I think it was around here when I was looking at this plant...

Rei: Then it shouldn't be very far then. 

Nitori: Mm... I hope I find it soon, there are very important things in there.

*the two move around looking for the book*

Rei: Is this it? 

Nitori: Have you found anything?

Rei: I found a book, though it looks more like a personal journal though instead of a research book.

*Nitori runs over to Rei*

Nitori: Ahh!!! Please don't read it! ..Yeah, this is it.

Rei: Oh! I'm sorry! I didn't read anything, I swear!

Nitori: It's fine, thank you for helping me find this.

Rei: You're welcome. You need to keep your belongings safer in the future.

Rei: Sir Nitori, what are you doing in those bushes? Have you lost your journal again?

Nitori: Ah!! Sir Ryugazaki, you startled me. No, I haven't lost anything this time. I'm just watching them duel.

Rei: Ah, the princes are sparring again. 

Nitori: Please don't tell them I'm watching. I don't want the prince to hate me

Rei: I wouldn't do that. I don't believe there is any harm in observing. Truthfully, I enjoy watching the prince as well.

Nitori: Ah, so you understand me? The way he holds his sword, his stance is so perfect...

Rei: Mhm, and the way he blocks and dodges, so beautiful. 

Nitori: And his attack is so precise. So deadly but you can't help but admire him. 

(Simultaneously) Nitori: Prince Matsuoka is the best. Rei: Prince Haruka is the best.

Nitori: ...

Rei: ....

Nitori: Ah, well Iwatobis Prince is nice but he would never beat Prince Matsuoka.

Rei: Hm, that's what you say but if you look at the current fight, Prince Haruka clearly has the lead

Nitori: Nnnggg! Fight Prince Matsuoka!

Nitori: Mmm... I haven't thought about it that way, but let's give it a try. 

Rei: Okay.

Rei: It seems to be working. The burning is notably less intense.

Nitori: Phew, finally. If you hadn't been there Sir Ryugazaki,I don't think I would have been able to create this salve. 

Rei: Don't discredit yourself too much. You had the right idea and ingredients, the method had been a little off but you would have gotten it eventually. 

Nitori: I know... But it would have been better to get it sooner. Maybe then I could finally be useful for something.

Rei: You shouldn't talk bad about yourself like that. Everyone is good at something, even if its not the main role, you are still helping the troops with your healing. 

Nitori: But my abilities will never get me to the front lines. 

Rei: Of course not, you are a curate. I understand your frustration, I sometimes have the same thoughts. We aren't meant to be the strongest up front but if we can pull strings from the back, its just as good. 

Nitori: Really? 

Rei: If you weren't around, our casualties might rival our kills and that's no good at all. We need a reliable healer and Sir Nitori, I think you're perfect for that. 

Nitori: Sir Ryugazaki... Yes! Thank you!

Ai drags him off both times to suit up. Just imagine the conversation the second time. :D

"Why does this always happen to me?" Rei wonders aloud, looking exasperated.

"Ah, you should always bring your legskins, Ryugazaki-kun," Ai replies with a warm smile. "Rin-senpai wears his most of the time underneath his clothes."

"Yes, well, Rin-san is quite illogical at times."

"W-well, I don't mind watching you change again," Ai murmurs, toeing the ground anxiously.

Rei glances at him in shock, cheeks reddening as he grows flustered.

"Nitori-kun...I-I..."

rinharu just never set well with me ive always been a makoharu kind of person rinharu never felt like home

when i first started free! i DID NOT ship makoharu i dont know rinharu was just it for me but im so glad that's changed
