Despite his onscreen persona, Michael is very laid back and easygoing and definitely won't try to rip anybody in half unnecessarily. He's actually a little bit of a nerd since he grew up more of a social outcast than heart throb. He grew up idolizing Jeff Hardy and later Batista, which he showcases by implementing several of their moves into his own moveset. Growing up on the poor side of the socioeconomic spectrum made him very frugal. He also grew up with a house full of girls, so he might be a little more understanding of how crazy they can get. Wardlow is very humble and thankful for the opportunity to live out his dream, and he never takes any of it for granted. He also credits Britt Baker and Cody Rhodes for helping him break in o the mainstream audience.

Mike's childhood was rough. Growing up in the low income area of Ohio, his mother raised three beautiful children on her own after his father vanished at the young age of 8 from all of their lives. Wardy was the youngest of the kids, his two older sisters and his mom becoming his entire world. Anger revolving around his father was evident as he grew up, yet being shaped to be a man that would never, ever do that to another. Wrestling was the only goal he had ever had in his life. And his small family supported every single step he took.
While in his 20's, his father eventually walked back into his life as he began training for his dream job. His entire upbringing, all he had imagined was laying a punch straight to the man that caused his existence. But that didn't happen. In fact, it was the opposite; understanding why he left, what he did with his life, and why he ever came back. Unfortunately, the reunion of father/son did not last long as his former parent had gotten a terminal illness that left a large hole in Mike's life. He has mainly kept this to himself over the years, however recently in 2023, he spoke of his exact experience in a promo on Dynamite. His hair being cut was a symbol of his father, and now with it being ripped away, he needed to find a way to move forward from it all. One way or another.
Skipping back to the past, once signed to AEW (not officially but under the wrath of his real life friend Maxwell, Michael moved himself and his mother down to Orlando in an attempt to find everything he had ever dreamed of. His mother joining him was definitely the main part of it. Never had he wanted her to not be taken care of. The first home he had ever purchased was for her. Surprising her while driving down a gorgeous private cul da sac, handing her the keys as soon as the two parked in the driveway. That moment alone, defined him. Not only that, but he later went on to buy the house directly next to hers as soon as it came on the market. One day, stepping out the front door with a cup of hot coffee, turning to greet his mother as she had just returned from a morning walk. The happiness on her face was something that constantly sticks with him.
To anyone that knows him, his mother is easily his most favorite person in the world.
Mike is also known for being a ladies man. Daddy kink is a big one. Now that his career has lifted off with joining AEW in the last 3 years, his focus has slowly been to shift from his quick flings to something more long term and serious. Making this change however isn't as easy as he thinks it'll be.

Born to a couple of high school sweethearts who weren't nearly ready to be parents, Leila's memory of childhood comes and goes. She remembers not having the best clothes to go to school in, not having the newest toys to play with -- or even further, not having a consistent father figure in her life, unlike the other kids that she went to school with.
But let's start at the beginning.
Her mother made ends meet giving pedicures to rich people and being at their mercy of whatever tip they wanted to leave her that day. While she never went without a meal, at a young age, Leila could see how this turned her mother into a helpless, desperate mess. It was disgusting how the generosity of better off strangers dictated how well she lived from week-to-week.
It didn't help things when her father, a raging alcoholic in his own right, attempted to rob a bank to soothe their family's raging financial woes when she was 4. On the speedy chase from the scene, he ran a red light and crashed into an elderly couple. Prison, much like death, had a funny way of making sure that you never seen someone again. And she didn't.
Leila knew she never wanted to be that hapless. She wanted to be solely dependent on herself, no matter what it took. To some, Leila may come off as aggressive or callous - but she just considers it necessary. After all, the beauty of confidence is that no one knows if it's real or not.
High school wasn't much kinder -- but puberty and the perks that came with it allowed her to control her own narrative. For the 8 hours she was within these 4 walls, she was queen. She was highest on the pecking order and she liked being there. It felt natural to her.
On the outside for the first couple of years, it seemed like she was living a dream. She was popular, dating someone equally as popular on the varsity team, with all the adoration she could ask for. Except behind closed doors? It was anything but. Her boyfriend was incredibly unkind at his best, abusive and damaging at his worst. She never bore bruises on her skin -- but it didn't make her wounds any better. She inherited a deep sense of distrust and skepticism, not even knowing if the idea of love existed...
Until she met Danny.
Unlike her prior boyfriend, he was considerate. He was kind. He was the type of person to hold doors open for people, even if they didn't say thank you. He seemed almost too good to be true.
And like clockwork, she became addicted. After 2 years, she was finally able to break her abusive cycle and find respite in his arms, hooked on simply the feeling of safety. He would walk her to class, drive her home, hold her hand when they were out, every chivalry tope that she was nearly sure didn't actually exist.
Things were great, even after they had managed to escape the hellscape of high school. Quickly, they were able to save up and get an apartment together, one all on their own, while they both chased their respective dreams.
Danny wanted to be a wrestler. And while Leila didn't get it, she supported him, as best she could. She wanted to be a cosmotologist herself, knowing that her passion came from making people look and feel like their best selves.
His success came first. And with that, naturally came the fans. Namely, the girls that would come to his shows. She didn't like that part. With the baggage she still very much carried on her sleeve from wounds before, there was always a jealousy there. An sense of untruthfulness.
Here was her now perfect life, and these random girls were threatening to ruin all of it. It was enough to create such a jealous monster, that their fights were now becoming more and more frequent. Fight, make up, get angry again, lather rinse repeat. Yet, she would say that she only did it because she cared. She always cared. Sometimes, she'd say too much.
At 20 years old, her life began to mirror her mother's own. Now, she was pregnant with their daughter, Sienna. With her intense Catholic upbringing, it wouldn't allow her to do anything less than keep it. And keep it, she did. Maybe this would be the glue that would keep their family together. The connection that was already beginning to crack at the very foundation.
Spoiler: It didn't. And to this day, Leila holds a lot of resentment towards Danny for that. It could have worked out if things were different. If he was different.
She wouldn't argue if you used the word "bitter" to describe her -- but she'd follow it up with the fact that it was necessary. In fact, it was this bitterness and chip on her shoulder that got her a job with All Elite Wrestling as one of their new MUAs.
Not one to shy away from conflict or sharing her opinion, she's planning to leave waves in her wake. As long as the needs of her and her daughter were taken care of. End of.

Parents: Ted and Victoria Marie. Her father is still present and helps Blake take care of her daughter but she hasn't seen or spoken to her mother since she was 12 years old.
Siblings: She has a step-brother and sister from her mother getting remarried but she's never met or spoken with them.
Children: Evie Kay Marie. 3 yrs old. She travels with her mother most of the time unless Blake's father has her. Blake is a single mother, Evie's father is MIA -- he doesn't have much to do with Blake or their daughter but Blake isn't bothered by it. She just strives to give her daughter the best life she possibly can.
Blake was born on July 23, 1993 to her father Ted and her mother Victoria in Wilmington, North Carolina. She lived a very normal childhood for the most part, her mother was a stay at home mom but she did work for the local church in Wilmington that the Marie family attended while her father Ted, was a lawyer for a living. It wasn't until Blake was 12 years old that her life drastically changed, her mother left her father and her to be with another man whom she had two other children with and eventually went onto marry. However Blake's never spoken to nor seen her mother since then, she tends to keep her distance from her mother and as a result -- her mother has never met Blake's daughter. Blake eventually went to Cosmetology school and graduated, working in various different salons -- it wasn't until she was in her mid twenties and a friend of hers got her in touch with some independent wrestling companies and she began working as a hairstylist for various different people around North Carolina. She eventually saw an ad online for applications for AEW and applied, not really expecting anything of it, but she was hired and she's worked with them for about 2 years now . Her daughter is her saving grace and her main reasoning for why she keeps going. Her daughter means everything to her -- she's the reason Blake is still alive in all honesty.
