Another song based drawing, this one being Numb To Everything by Citizen Soldier. Just as the lyrics say, this shows Nitro as being numb to all emotional inputs, represented by the different people around him. Zayn is anger and abuse, Tobias is quality time friendship, Zelia is deep connection, and Leila is romance and platonic love.
As I stated in the first art dump, these drawings were all made within this past year that I just haven't posted yet, so all my October drawings become that much more apparent. Still, I wanted to show them anyway because I like them. I didn't draw too many more prompts from SMG4Tober but it was enough that I felt like sharing.
Two more meme drawings that were definitely taken from here somewhere because they're accurate and I thought they were funny. I don't usually draw speech bubbles because I always run low on space so there's no point, but I specifically needed them for this joke so I have to try and work with the little space I gave myself.
Even more Zen drawings because I love them so much they are my special baby and they're just fun to draw in general. Tay and I had some concepts for our crossover AU of our two worlds which is where the prison thing comes from, and the two random outfits Zen is wearing in the sketch are ones I saw Instagram that I wanted to draw because I needed some ideas.
More time travel and future stuff because it's fun. Drawing Zayn and Nitro as their older selves is also quite fun, though the outfits and cool tech are something I need to work on. I also tried to draw a nice sunset and I can't tell if it actually looks good or not.
Last year shortly before II S2E15 came out I rewatched the whole series and first time watched Season 3 because I stopped watching just after S2E14 and I got really into it, and as per usual I started liking the same damn character type which happens to be Nickel. I have unfortunately discovered that I just like the same ship over and over again because I noticed quite a lot of parallels between my top favorite ships, which are SMG34, Nitryn (Nitro x Zayn), and Nickloon. That stupid coin infested my mind for a while so I drew some stuff of him.

Another thing I came up with in terms of jobs for my characters is Tobias being a youth basketball coach. He's loved basketball since he was a young kid, and while he did always want to join a professional basketball team like the PNBA (Powered NBA, basketball but with powers allowed), it was more competitive than he wanted it to be, and he just wanted to have fun with his friends. But when he's in college with no real direction, he ends up taking up a job at a nearby high school for coaching the basketball team and absolutely loves it. He can teach kids what he knows about the sport while still having fun with it, and the boys all love him because of how fun he is. It gives him a purpose that he didn't realize he was looking for.
There's a couple of meme drawings on here which most likely originated as posts on this site that I used so credits to the people who made these jokes, though I did still come up with my own, like the cheese shrine thing with my friend Sam's character, who by the way that was a real dialogue interaction between me and him irl almost a year ago. Also the homie joke was something I thought to myself randomly and then made a meme out of it.
I made some more characters, one based off of a song and two based off of existing fictional characters. Nadzieja is based on TokSik by STARSET, mainly because I wanted to draw a character with the Radiation logo for eyes and yeah that's basically it. Levon is based on Aizawa from BNHA because I like his power type, and Zen is based off of Bot from Inanimate Insanity and I absolutely love her and I've drawn her quite a bit since her creation which you'll see in upcoming posts. I like the story I came up with but I don't feel like typing all that out so I'll do it some other time.
Surprise surprise I became obsessed with another Zayn ship and that's him and Siren, it started as a bit of a joke but then it became real and now I'm trying to incorporate it into the Electric Blades story, welcome to the poly Siren. This is also when I decided for Ember to have glasses.
I also drew some more SMG4 stuff like Kaizo angst, Kailony, SMG34, and my Villain SMG4 AU with some Mr. Puzzles in there. I haven't developed much of the AU for after the Lawsuit Arc, but I do wanna keep writing that fic and develop it, because Mr. Puzzles would be a really cool character to add into that.
I'm genuinely surprised that the only thing I posted from my sketchbook so far was a few SMG4Tober drawings and my Inanimate Insanity comic being that I've had this one in use since July of last year. Work and school got so busy for me that I had no time to color half of these pages until 2 months ago when I quit my job and moved back in with my parents. But, since I've had the summer off aside from moving to a new city, I've had more time to draw and finish coloring what was in here. This sketchbook isn't finished yet, but I don't have many more empty pages left.
For the two black pages at the front, I wanted to draw all my main characters and antagonists and see if my white gel pen could be seen well on this paper, and it could. The black page after that is a more recent addition with it being drawn from my white acrylic paint pen. I felt like drawing some of the main poly ships though I don't like how some of the drawings came out.
I came up with some new concepts too. I needed an aquatic character to join Dr. K's team, so I got a mermaid character from Tay and I drew up a more detailed reference based off of the sketch. I'm working on digitalizing him so we'll see how it looks.
Music is a huge influence and inspiration for my art, so the songs here are Till Death Do Us Part by Citizen Soldier, Lose It by Oh Wonder, It's Spreading by Dawko, and Over and Over by Nico Collins. The first two show different outcomes for Nitro's life, and they both come from changing small decisions he made. The first one is if he didn't keep quiet about him having to move to another state from Scarlet, and the second is if he remembered his power while trying to rescue Lilac from Scarlet. For It's Spreading, I've redrawn the cover art for the song with my characters once before, as my character Glitch is based off of the song itself. Over and Over is about how Tobias can't seem to stay in love with anyone and how his decision to "just push through" leads to problems with his long term girlfriend.
I'm a huge fan of time travel and characters meeting alternate versions of themselves, so that's why I drew out Zayn and Nitro meeting each other's child selves. Speaking of, if a high school AU is done well then I'm all over it, which is why I have a whole other story for if all my main characters went to the same high school instead of meeting the ways that they actually do in canon.
I've been having a hard time coming up with some simple details for a lot of my main characters, such as jobs and general life goals, but I came up with one for Zelia: becoming a doctor. Through the first few years of Electric Blades, she's in the process of going through med school, so you see her struggles with that. She eventually gets her degree, and even before that her knowledge comes in handy because of how often her friends end up hurting themselves. Also Zayn gets two cats named Crack and Tar because I thought it was funny lol
