16/02/2022 Today I went to The Sir John Soane's Museum in London. It's been on my list for a while now and I'm really pleased to have gone. The collections are amazing, so much to see, the house is a maze even with the one-way system operating. The Sarcophagus of Seti I was my personal favourite piece on display, being able to see the hieroglyphics up close both inside and outside the sarcophagus was a real highlight. I really recommend going if you have the chance - booking is required.

🔹With a few hours left of 2021 I wanted to share with you one of my favourite achievements of the year - Learning to knit!🔹 I felt that it was a pretty good skill to have in my field of work (I make costumes for Film &TV) or at least have a basic understanding of which I think I can count myself for now!  It was a really fun process to learn and I love my jumper to show for it! What skills are you thinking of picking up in the New Year?

what are the chances of me saying that the moment I book my tickets to Italy I’ll get offered a film job - and then me getting a film job less than 48hrs later??? I was literally sitting down to book my flights and a designer I worked on Downton Abbey with texts me asking if I can start a new job in a week and a half As soon as I have my end dates for this film I’m booking two weeks in Italy no questions MC will probably have her next big project rolling by then and I don't want to miss out on that I’m going to cry

Hi Everyone! Time for a reintroduction as my last one is now very outdated! 🔸🔸🔸 My name is Nivera, I’m 22, I live (mostly) in London (UK) and am a First Class Honours (coronavirus) graduate with a BA in Costume for Theatre and screen. I’m very lucky to have work as a graduate and have worked on a new exciting HBO show (I’m doing season/part 2 too) and have a super cool BBC film coming up in the new year!  Interests, 🔸I speak English but am learning Russian 🇬🇧🇷🇺 🔸Historical Fashion (I mostly specialised in that at Uni), I’m super basic but the 19th century is my absolute favourite century with 1865-75 being my favourite period! 🔸Bullet journaling, I started in 2019 and love it 🔸Visiting galleries, the silence in art galleries is a special kind of sound Goals for 2021, 🔸Visit more museums, exhibitions, galleries and historic locations 🔸Keep a nature journal for each month of the year 🔸Plan out my finances and set savings goals, I want to buy a studio apartment in my area in London before I’m 30 (it looks possible!) 🔸Double the books I read in 2020 🔸Be more sociable, both online and out in the world!  🔸Improve my Russian, I really would like to get to a conversational level by the end of 2021 so I’m going to try posting in Russian (critiques welcome, encouragement appreciated!) 🔸Learn to knit! I have bought a kitted jumper pattern and have zero idea what to do with it 🔸🔸🔸

apologises for going all quiet, I've started my new job and it’s wonderful. i’m currently doing restoration on a dress that’s nearly 100 years old and i’m in my element.
