It was just a thought she had after days of longing and loneliness, hoping for the other to come and grace them with their presence. Such was the life of the two, drowning in work, barely having time for each other, except for that one day each week where their time is mostly dedicated to each other. It was a random idea; she didn’t expect he’d easily approve of it, considering it seemed senseless and sudden, but much to her surprise--and what a pleasant one it was--he seemed to be on the same page as she. And so, the heiress wasted no time in scheduling a day off her busy week, asking his assistant to do the same for him. Koharu reserved an entire day for the search of the perfect office penthouse, where the they both could stay in together and finish their work, with each other only a few strides away. She was normally a woman of sense; she thought she was simply being too clingy, too needy for his presence; her voice of reason whispered the idea might be counter-productive, as they both might serve as distractions and end up not doing anything, but she insisted on it, betting on the fact that they were both responsible company heads who wouldn’t give into the temptation of canoodling instead of actually finishing boring paperwork. “What do you think of this one, mon amour?” She asked as they stepped into the spacious penthouse, one wall completely made of glass. It was their fourth house that day--no luck up until then. Their real estate agent followed them in, describing the specifications--but Koharu's mind only needed to register the fact that there are three big bedrooms in the property for her to turn her man, her hands gently tugging at his sleeve. “Mon cher, this is it. The common area is open and spacious, we can turn two of the three bedrooms into our offices and.. this is it. I see us here. What do you think?”
