I have a question: if at some point in the future—be it near or far—Scarlet Swarm were to reach the end of its story, what would be the most likely ending?

Would it be the ending of Ardentia from the Nightmare Lord AU, or something else entirely?

Also, an idea popped into my head in the middle of the night and wouldn't go away: what if Ardentia and Vestige eventually start to get along, at least a little, or reach a sort of neutral ground—maybe even grow fond of each other—but then, at some point, Ardentia leaves and abandons Vestige?

It would be something else! Nightmare Lord Ardentia AU was created as an alternate ending to Scarlet Swarm, and splits off the Scarlet Swarm timeline at a specific point of time. It was the first fleshed out AU I made of Scarlet Swarm and it's one of my most beloved as a result.

There's not a whole lot I'm willing to say about the ending of ScSw because it's something I'd like for people to experience with the context of the entire story, as it's designed to wrap up a lot of things that currently aren't publicly known. I'm still ironing out all the issues I have with the overall story, but I will say that it's MUCH better (and different) than it was when I first thought it up.
