With new 52 Helena, DC made a new character and then named her Helena Bertinelli, just like they did in Crossbow at the Crossroads (but worse). So Helena Bertinelli wasn't racebent, her name was given to a character who had nothing to do with the character we've known and love for 25 years just to promote a horrible comic.

They did the same with characters like Wally West.
