"how could you do this to me?! You- you have forsaken me!"
She shouted, deep grief mixed with anger bubbling in her chest. And yet,it did not reach the eyes,as there were no tears streaming down her ghostly pale face. They wanted to wail, like a banshee, let her voice shatter all the glass in this room she once felt so safe in,but only a strained whisper came out. The realisation sunk in deeper and deeper, making its way in like a wild animal - she truly is no longer human.
There's a hunger gnawing inside of her, something primal and untamable. Something that will never be quite satiated no matter how deeply she wishes to. She's so thirsty it clouds their thoughts. It rings in her ears. They need to quench it no matter the cost.
“I wish you had left to bleed out! I wish I was laying on the cold forest ground,at least then I would still have had the chance for eternal rest! I… have lost the only chance to see my mother again.”
Amelie still cries, even without actual tears. She was raised with the promise of heaven,of eventual reunion with everyone she lost. He took the last spark of hope from them. She loved him, yes, like she never loved anyone else, but in this moment he no longer was her dark saviour.
He was the one that tore her from the peaceful embrace of death, all because he could not stand to lose her.
Though what does love even mean for a wretched creature like him? Is he truly capable of loving?
“I hope you are satisfied with the knowledge of ruining everything that was right and pure. How can I live a life like yours, doomed to forever lurk in the shadows?? I suppose they were right, even Lucifer was once an angel.”
