I looove hearing that cruise story as well because it reafirms my theory that she's actually into settling down with someone but won't admit it 'cause her life has always been like a collage of ephimeral moments, where she became very independent and unattached from the get go not because she wanted to, but because she HAD to. And I don't even think she's aware of it, she hasn't even had time to process that thought lol.

what i get from it is that she has a very strict scale of priorities that puts love and work in the second place and freedom always first, that's why when she feels like she cant go anywhere she tends to grow roots with whoever is there a develop her romantic side. Once she's in the real world with no time limit she feels like settling down is too much of a limitation and doesn't like committing amymore.
