You know what's the Good Stuff? When a character has a healing factor but it's shut down or bypassed by certain things. Like they regenerate from anything, EXCEPT wounds inflicted by a cursed/blessed weapon, or under a solar eclipse, or from somebody who loves them.

For your consideration:

character expects to shrug off an injury, then reacts with dawning horror as it doesn't heal

character has a genre-typical amount of scars, then you learn about their healing ability, then that raises the question of WHAT caused all their scars

character who treats a wound that doesn't instantly heal as a fascinating novelty, like a young child staring at their bandaid

character knows that they're vulnerable in the current situation, but they have no choice but to act regardless

Always a tad confused by those "Which XYZ Character Would Vape?" posts, because it never specifies whether they mean vaping nicotine, or well...you know ;)

I'm just saying, depending on which, the resulting headcanons/etc have a very different tone/vibe. XD

Ever think about how it’s common knowledge that you can summon a demon? Aren’t most demons just fallen angels? So does that technically mean that you can summon an angel in a manner similar to demons?  Can you imagine making a mistake in your summoning circle/pentagram and getting an angel instead? Imagine trying to explain yourself to that angel.

Like,

“Whoops, sorry buddy - I was just trying to...make some art...while reciting...poetry...”

And you avert your eyes from the Angel because you didn’t know which set of eyes to look into anyways. The Angel just sort of heaves a sigh and nasally says, 

“If you are trying to reach my brother: he has a double slash. I have the single slash.” 

“I - oh, thank you.” You say, still averting your gaze while scuffing your shoes awkwardly against the floorboards. You are about to send the Angel back when he stops you with a request, 

“When you see my brother... can you tell him that I hope he’s doing alright?”

“Uhm, sure,” You sort of mumble out - you’ve always been bad in things like this - besides, what could you say? Sorry your brother fell? 

“Thank you,” the Angel says sincerely and then vanishes in a swirl of feathers. 

You enter the empty circle and add a second slash to the swirl the angel pointed out and wonder if you should clean up the feathers the angel left behind. In the end, you decide against it, reasoning that maybe the angel’s brother would like a memento - after all, he probably didn’t get to take much with him when he fell.  

You begin the incantation again.
