WIP Wed/Weekend/Whatever/Someone Help Me Get My Shit Together Please

I've been tagged a few times over the last two weeks and I've got no excuse except that I was writing drabbles and prompts and just generally fucking around. It's like everything is more appealing than the things I need to get done, you know?

Thank you to @penny00dreadful for this most recent tag which is hopefully lighting a fire? Or maybe just encouraging me to play with matches. Who knows.

Snippet below the cut is from "Eddie's babies" which is inspired by @doomcheese's lovely artwork which you can find here.

One of the bats - the one that had hissed - nuzzles against Eddie’s collarbone where his shirt is ripped and bloody. The other perches on Eddie’s bent elbow like a hawk. Talons gripping the skin of Eddie’s arm but not breaking it. Bringing his hand up, he cups it’s head, petting gently. When it bumps it’s head against Eddie’s palm, it lets out a chirp, mouth open, showing off several rows of sharp teeth. The chirp turns into a happy purr and Eddie sort of melts. They’re just sweet babies. Holding them both close, Eddie coos, bumping their heads with his nose as their tails flick and swish, curling delicately around his thigh and waist as both bats allow themselves to be cuddled.

I am not resting, i will continue reading through with sheer determination and teary hot eyes. I read a 20k chapter from a different fic back when i had covid so some small irritating fever's got nothing on me >:)
